I made it with using a linen cloth filter bought from Tiger, using boiled water let to cool slightly. the coffee tasted great, nutty and chocolatey mild. It's Colombian coffee, and it was freshl smelling and packed with an air valve built into the packet.. The way you make it is significant, and important, I've seen so many machines destroy the taste of fresh ground coffee, amateurs make too many mistakes. Handmade coffee, without coffee machines is the best way to make coffee. People rely too much on coffee machines which are not adjustable to different types of coffees. I encourage anyone to experiment, some coffees go well in a machines, some do not. This coffee was the best quality out there for the price.

The problem is that actually it doesn’t state all ingredients because it is not explicit the type of flavouring that was used. In a lot of cases senomix is the hidden ingredient.

Oh my gosh, you are not going to believe why I found your video so helpful. I've had one of these and love it. I'm going camping soon and wanted to pack the items back into it's box and tried all kinds of things. Then, I had an idea, I'll Google Aeropress Unboxing and there you were. I watch how the items came out of the box. Yeah! I got it all packed away and ready to pack. So thank you, thank you, thank you. I even took a pic so when I pack it to bring back home, I have a reference. Just made me chuckle. Amazon also has some really nice counter set ups for these, maybe even for packing, but I always like to keep the original box for if and when I may need to store it.

Hi from a bit further down the A580. Have you tried the Joepresso attachment for the aeropress? Better then the Prismo. Almost makes it an espresso, but make sure you press it into a metal cup or risk smacking your face into a worktop full of broken cup 😂

@@dmcerrrmmmm It would be interesting to see how close the Joepresso got to a coffee you know really well out of your machine. Then maybe how closer it is than the Prismo. The Joepresso creates a lot more pressure, I use a dumbbell with a load of weights on it to help push down to save my wrist haha.

I tried this out just a few days ago and have to disagree with you.. I found it very pleasing and close to their tasting notes. My method was as an espresso using a non-pressurised basket, 17.5g, with a 29sec pour and an output of 36g. (if that helps). Thanks for all your hardwork with the video's.🙂

I ended up cleaning it with just water. I wouldn't worry too much about how you clean it, mainly get rid of all the gunk. Also just a heads up, don't be afraid to expand the spring. Thing's real strong and sturdy. If you happen to break it, you can buy a replacement online for $6. I bought one just in case since I get these leaks often lol. Hope this helps.

Just tried this BUT the rating on my bag was a 5 strength/roast; bag exactly the same otherwise. Date was Mar 2026 so really fresh. Tried dialling in over a range of grinds/times for both Espresso [16g in, 32g out ~28 sec extraction time for espresso], and French Press [16g in, 20:1 ratio, 60 second initial pre-infusion in 32g water, then top up to 320g water for a 5 minute infusion, decant top, and then a further 5 minute infusion]. Results were as described i.e. a bitter and not very pleasant/average coffee experience; and I like my coffee dark/black, wouldn't buy again. As reviewer says probably OK in milky-based coffee drinks. Of the two £4 for 454g bags in Lidl, the other ITALIAN BLEND beans [not Italian STYLE] are a far better coffee drinking experience in my opinion.

Just had this coffee as my first one from Pact. Wasn't overly impressed for the price, I've had better coffee from non-fresh supermarket beans. Maybe that it's just not my preferred flavours in a coffee. Going to try at least 3 deliveries from Pact then decide if I'll cancel. I've had a lot of nice coffee from Rave. Their my favourites so far. Lovely little review though, I'll continue to watch some of your others.

Bought some of this a couple of days ago as a stop gap/emergency, and was really perplexed by the result.To note, the bag was the same, the date was Sep2025 [so pretty fresh], BUT the rating was 4 [not 5]. The writing stated ITALIAN ROAST not ITALIAN BLEND, but everything else looked the same including being 100% Arabica; price was £3.99 for 454gms. The beans look-wise were as described in this video with an inconsistent roast some paler/some darker, but no burnt edges, and the grind also. Did an Espresso 16g in/32g out, aiming for ~25-28 secs BUT the machine initially choked and the extraction to about x3 longer than it should [about 1min 30 secs]. Now I was expecting a bitter, horrible, over-extracted shot BUT this is not what I got. I got a sweet, chocolaty, medium to full bodies Espresso that was a delight..really shocked. Since then I have tried dialing in this bean around the 25-30 sec mark, and although some of these have been fine they were a match for the initial choked result. I have also done a French Press as per James Hoffman video protocol and this gave quite a pleasant result too. So the moral is?...sometimes theory doesn't = practical, and for this bean if I didn't want to risk breaking my machine/pump I would purposely choke my Espresso extractions 🙂
@dmcerrrmmmm
@dmcerrrmmmm 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for that... I'd agree I also like a coffee were my machines on the verge if clogging up and this coffee is one that I happily drank while dialling in the grind.

Interesting how different peoples taste profile can influence their opinion. I have just bought a bag of this yesterday; it was/is really fresh with a BBD on the bag of Feb 2026, and I wasn't that impressed. OK, its only £2 but in comparison to Waitrose Italian blend at £2.50 I felt it came a bit 'short'. This said, I pulled the shot a bit long [16g in, 32g out. ~35 secs] so it would have been over extracted, and once I have dialled it in properly it may improve the profile.

@@dmcerrrmmmm Well I had another espresso [16g in, 32 out, 28secs], and although I was better I still didn't think it was anything to 'write home about'; the Waitrose Italian style beans currently at £2.50 a bag is much better value. That said, if you like coffee with milk i.e. Latte, Cappuccino it would be fine...just that I prefer my coffee black.

Brave man! If I didnt like a coffee after the 2nd or third cup. The beans would have been made into compost or returned if possible. Sometimes, something like _"Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back"_ can be printed somewhere on the packaging in small print. I know that some of the supermarkets own branded items can have that printed on so its worth keeping an eye out for just in case there is something wrong with the coffee.
