Hello So dont have a UV torch. I had water washable resin and I poured some water in there to try and get the leftovers flushed out and poured that in a clear plastic bottle and left both out on the sun I hope that good, I guess what else I also could do is cut the resin bottle in half so that all of its insides will be exposed to be cured on the sun... once Im done curing should I just throw them in the trash or can they go to the plastic recycle bin? thank you for the video

Thank you for this! Just did a hollow print and could not get that resin smell out even after shining a UV pen light in there. Just ordered the bulbs and the 9v on/off switch through your links. Hoping this will do the trick :)

If you don't want to contaminate the water, would it work to put the minis into a ziplock baggy and put that into the warm/hot water? Will that soften the supports the same way?

Just find a 1” thick twig. Slice it into 1” lengths and glue a coin to bottom. Glue miniature on with drop of pva. Feels great and mini pops off.

I would be interested to hear whether or not this is still the method you use, some 3-years later. Has your process changed at all?

Concerning the "drying over night", I dont think they are drying from the IPA, they're just chilling. 99% IPA dries in like a minute or two if its just a small coating and does not leave residue. Just pointing that out.

Hmmm, I have a question about this, can "over curing" while printing help make the mini come out better? Or is that process not powerful enough to really help cure the middle of the mini?

Exactly what I do for successful prints. My problem is when I didn't have success and theres like micro layers of cured resin on the bed. hard to scrap... wondering if I need an alcohol bed to loosen it.

Wouldn't they be able to be crushed and go into the environment anyway? I'd say if you are doing a bigger print, you might be able to grind these up, including not cured, and put the dusty bits into the larger print to add mass, then try to force cure it or at least in layers. Like a hollow skull you fill up would probably take days worth of prints right?

I was struggling to have my minis stay on the bases after gluing them down, they were very fragile. I didn't try gel version though, I will have to check that out. I ended up downloading blender 4.0 and after watch a tutorial on how to join models together found it was super easy. So I just print them as one solid piece now.

Nice. I made on using the 12 volt plug my home made curing station uses, but the embedded resistor gets warm. Thing I'll try the 9 volt battery Also may make 2 or 3 lights to do all sections at one time

if your printer has a clean vat feature putting them in the corner of the vat before using the clean function makes it overly easy to remove the cleanse sheet instead of trying to pick at it with a soft spatula
@IKilledYourDude
@IKilledYourDude 5 ай бұрын
My issue is what to do with the cured sheets I get from vat clean prints after a failed print? They’re too big to put into my curing station, and often have a lot of resin on them due to remaining submerged in resin after exposure. I’d been putting them into a small clear bin which I then put out in the sun, but they end up fully curing to that making that bin unusable.

Thank you for sharing this fantastic video! I own an Anycubic Photon M3 Max, and I've been experiencing some difficulties when printing a bottle cap. I recently acquired the Wash and Cure Max, and I must say, your approach yields much better results! However, I'm struggling with resin layer separation despite printing at a thickness of 0.05 as per the ABS-Like Resin Pro manufacturer's recommendations. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Awesome video!

Yes, I agree about the respirator. BUT there are different respirator for different things. Make sure you know what to get. Is resin fumes considered vapor? If so, then you want a respirator for vapors
