Hi 👋 Greetings from New Zealand. Im in my sixties, and in the 1960s I had a small collection of diecast metal toy cars. Dinky , Corgi and Spot On models. I owned a Mini exactly the same as the one in your video. It's the red o ne with the black roof. I don't have them anymore, I sold them years ago. From Carl.

Also another point that’s interesting to me you said on the bottom it’s got a Matt finish, it hasn’t been touched or hardly played with . You learn something every day. Something to look out for for future purchases. ☺️ personally I prefer the slower videos but it’s difficult for a person because you’re excited we are excited to watch the videos so obviously things can speed up a bit.

Another super collection part of collecting for me is the artwork on the box hundred percent correct it makes the model when you display them. You look at the car and obviously the artwork on the box so it’s a plus for me we enjoy your videos. Keep them coming 🇬🇧 wales 🏴 🏴 🤣

another great video! what a superb haul, love that agricultural gift set, something which eluded me as a child although i don't ever recall asking for it! the artwork which excites me as much as it does yourself, is truly amazing, it is such potent nostalgia, that opel rekord is beautiful, i think real opels are seriously underrated cars, a fine marque which like its GM stablemate Vauxhall produced some fantastic cars before they became mere clones in the late 70s albeit still very nice cars, thanks as ever for a super video, best wishes
@ExploringWithBoss20 күн бұрын
Thank you as always Simon, I really appreciate the support. I’m very excited about the agricultural set, they just don’t turn up that often and especially not in this condition. I think the Diecast gods were looking down on me with this collection and I completely agree about early GM cars, they really were art compared to what we have these days.

You get excited so do I ☺️. you said a comment there’s always a deal to be done at Jones vintage world I can vouch for that , was extremely happy with my last purchase it was immaculate a lot more to come and a very fair price in my opinion you’ve got some amazing things there , the BAT boat that is mint. I had that as a kid no idea what happened to it another fantastic hall thank you for sharing. ☺️☺️🇬🇧🇬🇧

I own a nice DINKY collection running from very few pre war models through the mid '60s I have no military vehicles, which I dislike, not strictly for being a pacifist but because I find them ugly and monotonous.

I like your video, i also like french dinkies , the later ones from the late 1960s into early 1970s, as i believe bobigny closed in 1970 then productions moved to calais until it closed in 1971/72 , then they were made in Spain using French tooling , and i believe newer models were made by Auto pilen . My personal favourite is the simca police car .
@ExploringWithBossАй бұрын
Thank you so much Peter, both for the information and for watching the video. I agree, the Simca is pretty awesome

another great video! your enthusiasm is infectious! i've never had a budgie(apart from the feathered bird called Ben we had circa 1974) they look fantastic, i think some of those dinkys are just magnificent, i think dinky were every bit as good as corgi and they seemed to have a wider range of vehicles in their line ups, i don't ever recall mettoy corgi doing an Opel or a Peugeot(i stand to be corrected of course) for example, i have a few of the models shown including the beemer which is a great model and the fire transit van, mine being in a bubble pack and in mint condition from childhood, superb stuff, i get the welsh accent as my cousins husband is from Swansea! terrific
@ExploringWithBossАй бұрын
Thank you as always Simon and I did laugh about Ben haha. You are completely right though, Dinky definitely did offer a much wider range of both European and American vehicles apposed to Corgi and I think each brand is brilliant in its own way. I’ve got a real oddball stock video to upload next 😎

another brilliant video and another superb selection of toys, nothing evokes my 60s/70s childhood better than matchbox superfast, those boxes alone transport me back to 1970 or 71, my fantastic parents bought me those lovely cars when i was a young boy so the nostalgia is massive! i agree re the 50s yanks, cars were truly works of art back then and the dinky replicas are equally as gorgeous, i have the export version(i think) of the corgi gift set number 48(a lidded box with artwork obviously) and it's one of my prized items, i love your enthusiasm it is truly infectious! thanks again for a great video and best wishes

Hi Im viewing from New Zealand. Im in my sixties in age , so i spent my childhood in the 1960s. I had various makes of metal diecast toys then. Dinky, Corgi , Spot On and Matchbox cars. I like the Citroen CV2 model and the Renault 16. I remember owning a Dinky Hillman Imp in red . I think it would be very rare today. From Carl.
