Hey Zaf here, I recommend doing the tutorial, which is in the top right of the screen. The survival guide in the menu is also a great resource. First collect some wood and stone, either by picking up fallen branches and random small stones or punching trees and large stones. Once you hit level 2, open the tech tree (start then RB twice) and unlock all in the level 2 row. Get wild pal's health as low as possible before throwing a pal sphere to capture them. Collect paldium (needed for pal spheres amongst alot of other stuff) by picking up paldium fragments or mine the blue rocks, later on there's a way to automate collection of wood, stone and paldium (at level 7 and 8).
