The truth is that Kakamega needs to upgrade. I am talking as someone who has seen the kind of houses and environment around Nairobi suburbs like Muthaiga, Runda, Karen etc. Milimani Kakamega looks like a village. If it looks forward to city status, there are many things that needs to be done, even the quality of apartments people build. Even the high end structures in Kisumu milimani and Eldoret are waaay far better than these structures in Kakamega that looks poorly finished and abandoned. I'm talking as someone who was born, raised and loves Kakamega county.
