@Richard Beman What about Topsy the elephant he electrocuted at Luna Park zoo on Coney Island in 1903? Which Edison filmed as part of the string of animal murders that he committed during a fued with Tesla while trying to prove alternating current unsafe. I saw that video years ago, it was so horrific that I couldn't even finish watching it.

*holds you* it's okay buddy you'll be okay, technology today is more advanced of course, so talking dolls sound more clear and more cute then these dolls back in the 1800s, talking dolls have came a long way, dolls in general not just talking dolls any type of dolls, as a doll lover myself ik well how much dolls have changed over the years

She was. It was the only way to make the sound audible on the equipment. Plus, it was before mass production, so they had to make each cylinder for each doll individually, over and over and over again.
