@@stevericci3308 that sounds correct. Our issue is that our RV was crushed by a tree during Hurricane Harvey so I cannot go out and take a look.

Sorry. You failed to show what IMHO is often the most difficult part of this change. Removing the fan blade on the condenser. Maybe you were lucky and yours were really easy. But hold on. Not always so. Yes I know it's plastic on steel unlike the old days where the fan was metal mounted on a metal shaft which really contributed to it seizing on. Nevertheless the plastic can be bound on bad and the shafts can be very badly pitted and rough with rust. Best IMHO to have a replacement ready if you break the thing! Oh, one more thing. The older (real old) units do not have a plate allowing the evaporator squirrel cage to be removed from up top. Fun and games to be had removing that from inside (and the motor obviously on top). But thanks for the video!

We know the feeling. We are not sure if you saw any of our shorts. Our RV was crushed by a pecan tree during Hurricane Beryl. While cleaning out the RV there were 12 keys in the RV and we have no idea what 3 of them are for...lol

@@ashleybullmore I thought about that, however, without the foam the volume of air available for the return is significant and hence increased airflow volume. With that said, a 70’ pecan tree solved the issue (see our channel shorts). The whole roof was crushed during hurricane Beryl.

@@NotJustBBQLLC I did try adding a center divider and the velocity of the output decreased. The other issue with a shallow plenum there is no room under the AC connect to place any foam. I believe there is now an AC Connect unit for shallow plenums. The new design might allow space to install some foam.

Three ten digit code wheels does not take very long to decode, & this type of lock is often vulnerable to shimming. Keying three lockpins alike & putting a key on everyone's keyring is a better solution.

@@alt5494 there is some merit in your comments. You can also break off the keyed locks if you have time. The goal is to make it more difficult for a thief and hope that they move on to an easier target. Having options is a good thing. For example, we do not carry the keys on our keyring. I would have three trailer lock keys just for our different vehicles. We bought them at different times and are different manufacturers so keying them alike would not work. We had a chance to review the lock and having a combination lock might be a solution that works for many. Thank you for your feedback.

@@beech_lane_rv Trying all 1000 possible codes to bypass a high security trailer lock to steal a luxury car or boat is a completely valid method. That can be done covertly in the dark without noise or tools. Combined with fact people prefer higher numbers for codes starting at 999 removes many unlikely combinations. Meaning it is between 1m to 30m attack simply subtracting 1 each attempt. I would encourage you to have someone set the lock to their choice & try it at speed. Assuming your lock is not vulnerable to shimming the locking bar one extra tumbler would be a much more secure product.

That looks like a great campground. The RV rentals are fabulous. It's great for those that don't want to buy a camper but camp with friends occasionally.
