hey man i heard you say you had to cut the mid pipe. why? its not a bolt on, but your catback fits the old stock downpipes. I'm doing the same install right now IE downpipes on 2018 A3 8V . i wanna be prepared and have a exhaust tube cutter in hand for custom work.

Hey, yea I had to cut it cut and welded because the mid pip and the cat back is different brands from each other. Also because they are meant to fit onto the stock downpipe/exhaust. I just got it welded for convenience so there are no exhausts leaks that could form but very do able if you cut and use a exhaust clamp.

I've never had any issues or problems regarding the law. Im also in school getting my AA and to be a firefighter. So I've talked to a few first responders involving officers. So I've asked a few officers, nothing wrong with it. If that answers your question?

I would just say all you really need is 3m double sided tape and some alcohol to clean the surface

Hey man I know you have an rs3 grille. But do you know to remove the front license plate holder on the A3 grille?

yea man you still have to take the front license plate off and there will be some screws on the back of the grill that are attached to the grille

Hello, nice video! I have just a couple of questions. Did you disconnect both battery poles before start this process? And also, did you get any ACC radar error warnings on the dashboard? did you use a specific bracket for the radar? thanks in advance

Most likely got radar error just looking at the picture, looks like the radar is blocked at the bottom like with most RS style grilles

It didn't take too long, would say it only took less than 2 hours the first time. But I've taken it off after that by myself could do it under 1 for sure

Well done. Can you elaborate on the VALUE of this boondoggle? Love my A3, adore it. But I'm not keen on little traps. The electronic parking brake is a pain in the ass to begin with, the thing goes shitass crazy if I forget to close my door all the way as if I don't know the door isn't closed.

@@makinmoneywithjuan1108 The drone isn't bad at all but there will be some drone. If you step on it you will definitely hear it but stay steady with the throttle it isn't too bad.

I assume your saying engine wise?? In that video I had turbo muffler delete, turbo inlet, cold air intake, and the ECS diverter spacer.

Any check engine light with this downpipe? If so did you use a o2 spacer? And also who you tuned with?

I did get a check engine light but I wouldn’t be too worried about it. Also I’m tuned with 034 right now and it’s Great!

good video, I still messed up lol. I hit the e brake when the pistons was off the disks. $150 mistake for no reason at all should you activate the brakes while they are off the disks.

I would not activate them when the brakes are off the disks. Definitely a bad idea but could be way worse tbh. But at least for next time you’ll know! Sorry that, that happened

When you launch how do you get the front tires not to spin. In my A3 I break traction and I won’t feel the rear ended kick in until like 30

It really depends, I have my launch rev up to 3k and I break traction but that’s on my all seasons. On my summer tires I have no problem and they are wider so more surface area.

Unrelated question: how well do the stick-on paddle shift extenders hold up? Any slippage on the tip of the paddle or needing to re-attach them?

Nah man thats definitely a great question, I had the same doubts too. But they honestly they hold pretty well. I Haven't had any problems with them coming off at all since I put them on and its been about 9ish months. Maybe in the future theyll start to wear out but it shouldnt be to hard either way if you use 3m double sided tape again.
