very good job from the guitarrist, may be a little different from original but well played. Back then there weren't tutorials about this songs like today on youtube, so the job he did is even more admirable!

Great job. It's been transcribed a couple of times with Steve's supervision and annotations, most recently in Paolo de Carvahlo's book "Please Don't Touch!: The Sound of Steve Hackett Vol. 2"

@@mikevan1 You did a great job all around. It's very impressive! The most famous issue with players is the ascending 9 note riff at the middle section: Hackett claims to play it on the 6th fret of the A string starting on the E note (without any open notes), ending with an F# on the 5th fret. The published tab doesn't indicate it but he actually slides his index up between notes 2 and 3 and notes 5 and 6 while alternate picking with his right hand index in order to get that speed. When you try it, it does sound right in terms of tone, but doesn't feel all that intuitive compared to some of the similar sounding riffs he's done elsewhere that usually incorporate a lot of open notes. Those 9 notes have been a headache for guitarists over the years, but that's the deal with them... ;)

@@mikevan1 It's prelude no 6 by Bach. Has been played many times but Jacques Loussier was the first to play it in jazz-proggy style. This virtuoso may be considered the grand father of prog.
