That's a huge Mackerel in my books. Well played! As you were reeling it in, I'm like, catching that would be breakfasts done for the winter on the island here for me and the lady. Om nom nom. Two of those and we got a full merienda tambien! 😊 Then he said "not a big fish but..." 😅😅😅 Well played! If you catch bigger you gonna need a bigger boat! Watch out for those sharks!

That's crazy when the sharks respond to the clicker going off like a lunch-bell, makes sense though. Glad to see you were able to get it in the hatch, with nothing missing!
@FishingCornerSA5 ай бұрын
Ya, I have seen it with spearfishing, when the gun goes off. It definitely worked turning off the clicker! Stoked will have to test the theory on a couple more fish.

And back out again well done mate, how do you get yourself back out after a shark encounter like that. I was fishing off my stealth in NZ and had a bronze come up next to me and take my kingie, put me off the water for 2 months, now I still go out but not as much.
@FishingCornerSA5 ай бұрын
I had too, I love fishing it is my happy place. That was the 1st major encounter in 20 years so I'm happy with those odds. Not going to lie getting the fish in the boat from now on is going to be stressful!
