For your next drain related listen you should listen to beauty sleep by ecco2k. It’s a fan compiled project from an era in which ecco made quite a bit of music but barely released any of it, and is considered to be one of the best drain projects by the fandom. It’s also different from other drain projects, having a certain serenity to it like e does, however, with a lot of the track list consisting of leaks it has this deeply unique raw feeling to it at the same time. I think what you say about solo representation has more truth than you realize (as a member of the lgbt community). Cause an important concept is *Intersectionality* of identity. A black disabled lesbian in the south and a native two spirit person in a big coastal city are both queer, but they have unique experiences with their queerness! It’s important we rally our similarities, but also represent the ~spectrum~ of the community. Kinda like Chappells inspiration for the Pony Club, she was exposed to the breadth of diversity that is different from what she was used to, and was hooked. Sure there are queer people in the midwest/south, but the vibes are different. I couldn’t wear my rainbow socks as comfortably in Houston as I could Seattle, ya know? Which is why I like her music videos and her bringing in various drag queens and probably other queer folks into her work. Shes helping other people shine too! She represents a sliver of the community and her own experiences but she represents them GOOD. Enough that even an asexual non-binary person like myself can see the Vision (I feel solidarity with my bi n lesbians sisters for real). And jam with Heart.
