For the future, don’t buy cheap no name headphones. If you need to buy some, save up for good quality headphones. I have a pair of Bose Quietcomfort 25s from 2014 that belonged to my dad, but they still sound very nice. So you can buy old cheaper headphones and still enjoy them.

even the sony 1000mx4 is good, being able to adjust sound quality, ambient sound control, comfortable without being hot, and tuning the customization is great too. the only issue i have with mine is that they are a tad big

Someone please help me with this. I am starting college soon and i can't focus with noises, any sound or and people talking around me. So i want to buy a noise cancelling headphones. My ears are small, so earbuds don't fit and they hurt. I bought a normal over-ear headphones (not noise cancelling) and they hurt my ears after wearing it for 10+ mins. It causes me headaches and makes me feel nauseous. I am not very knowledgeable about technologies so i'd love it if someone who does can help me suggest a noise cancelling over-ear headphone that you can wear for 2+ hours without it making you sick or hurt your ears&head. Please help guys

You may be sensitive to noise cancelling technology. I bought some Sony mdr-zx110nc (Sony's cheapest noise cancelling headphones) and they made my ears feel weird. Later I tried my dad's Sony WH-XB900N and the ANC didn't bother me. I recently bought Sony WH-CH720N and they don't bother me, but the driver is strange shaped and may touch your ears. If you are looking for cheap Jlab makes some ANC on ear and over ears, and Soundcore has some cheaper models. If you are sensitive to noise cancelling technology you may need good passive noise cancelling. My Sony Mdr-10r are good for that but they are older from 2013 so you would have to buy used. The best you can do is read reviews from good tech review sites that cover all the points. Sorry that took so long to explain. I hope it helps.

@@TrevorR36 thank you ! Actually though, the headphones I have are not noise cancelling and I've never used noise cancelling headphones before, so I don't know if I am sensitive to noise cancelling at all ( because I've never used them). I think it may be the shape of the part of the headphone that goes on top of my ears that hurts me. Maybe it's because the material used is not soft enough or because the size of the "cup?" It is too small that it touches my ears too tight. I am thinking of buying a Sony 1000xm4 but they're expensive and I don't know if they're worth it, I don't want to regret buying them. Do you know if you can return headphones if you don't like them? If I can return it, I am planning to buy it and try it for a week. If It hurts within 1-2 hours, I'll just return it. Once again, thank you for your help!

@@fyori7376 I must have misread the part about noise cancelling. I know Amazon has a limit on the number of times you can return headphones. I usually try to buy in person at a store like Walmart or Best Buy. They usually don't have a limit and sometimes have displays to try headphones in the store. I know recent Sony headphones haven't had the deepest earcups so if you can try before you buy that would be even better.

@@TrevorR36 thank you very much! I'll most likely buy it from Best buy, and they do have displays, so I might be able to try it before buying it. Do you know what the best ear cups are so that it won't hurt? I am confused if I should have large ear cups so that the cups doesn't tightly surround my ears or if I should have ear cups that are small enough to just be set on top of my ear? Hopefully that made sense, english isn't my first language.

@@fyori7376 I find that on ear headphones can be very comfortable, but some are not comfortable at all. Sony wh-ch520 is the current model. It looks like it has good padding, but Sony's previous model the wh-ch510 was very uncomfortable. I prefer over ear headphones because the on ear will make your ear feel hot after a while of wearing. Some people with glasses find the over ears uncomfortable because it pushes on the frames, but I usually don't have that problem. Usually the depth of the ear cup and the clamping force are the factors in comfort. Some headphones like Sennheiser have thicker pads that help your ear not touch the plastic inside. Most good headphones will have an upper headband made of a metal strip covered in padding. This metal strip can bend outward and reduce the clamping force.

nice, I also have bose qc35 ii. but can't lie that bose 700 was really great and comfortable (with more expensive price point). the wired one you tried (with hollow earcups) are great for movie. since it's hollow and let the airflow your ear won't sweat as much

if you are an android user: get the sony XM5, due to its LDAC Capabilities, its able to produce 3x the sound quality of the bose pair, and the equalizer can fix the sound! if you are a apple user: anything, i guess and yes i know this is like, 9 months old

Also want to mention I’ve owned my Bose QC35lls since 2019 and over time I noticed they get very loose and when you move the parts around that are adjustable like the headband the ear cups they make little click sounds, idk that is but when they were brand new they didn’t make these sounds and we’re not as loose. Also the Aux Cord that comes with it is absolutely Shit like you pay around $200-250 for a good pair of Headphones and it comes with a shit Aux Cord. So overtime I noticed I’m very careful with my things these were never beaten around or anything like that well damn good taken care of. I got them through Amazon for a little cheaper they were originally around $250 and I got them for $110. So I guess a little discount or something. And after using the shitty Aux cord that comes with them I use them both for gaming on my PS4 Pro and comfort aka Wireless listening. So I noticed the included cord made the headphones over time as I went to turn up and down the volume on my PS4 headphone setting they make a little pop sound and it happens all the time now I don’t get mad or throw fits while gaming I’m very careful with them. And anytime I go to turn up the volume or down there’s that little pop sound. So okay I thought it was the shit cable that came with them threw that out then bought a better sturdy and more durable cable through Amazon and I literally bought this cable like 4 weeks ago and it’s brand new never been used Also a little longer than the stock cable. So I think the headphones are going out which suck’s honestly they weren’t cheap. I will take any different recommendations that have really good Bass and are very durable. Also ones that are a little more cheaper than the Bose that are as close and good as the Bose!..
@TrevorR36
@TrevorR36 7 ай бұрын
If you hear a pop when changing volume it could be an electrical arc caused by dirt in the aux plug on the headphones, or headphones plug on the system. You could try some electronic connector cleaner in the hole. It could also be an amplifier problem with the system. Of course if new headphones fix it then it was the headphones.
