I just realized i think Gen 3 and Gen 5 elite 4 have some similar notes if you compare them side by side

such a shame a lotta special battles didn't have their own theme in the first generations, not only legendaries having the regular wild theme, but in gen 1 gym leaders didn't have their separate theme from regular trainers, and in gen 2 gym leaders did get their team, but elite four didn't so the elite 4 had the gym leader theme

See I couldn’t remember the soundtrack from Spyro 2 until I played the remastered version. I was just so young when I beat Ripto’s Rage my memory of the soundtrack doesn’t go back far. Except for the bone dance scene lol
