Kurt was probably nicer to talk to with people he actually knew. But there were way too many aloof annoying and insincere kids trying to be like this back when I grew up. Maybe don't emulate a tortured soul if you want to have good relationships.

The type of parasocial engagement Kurt Cobain’s legacy creates is unlike any other artist dead or alive imo. Especially in these comments. Declaring love for him on a personal level. Thinking romantically about his appearance. Making assumptions about his internal monologue. Missing him “as if I knew him” is something I’ve read more times than I care to count. Longing to give him physical affection. Like ew wtf Kurt Cobain out of all people would’ve hated this.

The Interviewer gave Kurt a chance to set the record straight, and instead Kurt chose to be sarcastic and rude. Wow really cool guy……………… Not.

dang... i wish i got into Nirvana when my friend Matt showed me Smells Like Teen Spirit back in high school, but TBF i did get into System Of A Down instead around that time, which paved the way for me to explore lots of 90s & 00s alt rock. i'm old enuf now to appreciate Nirvana & Kurt's artistry and way of carrying himself...and i still listen to SOAD, still slaps

I’ve heard him say in several interviews that he was sick and tired of people trying to dissect everything he did and said. Especially his song lyrics. He has admitted that most of his lyrics were just jumbled words that sounded good. Lol. it was pretty clear that he basically hated being famous.

A Group of us in 3 cars went to her concert in Boston in a F***ing Blizzard. 2 cars got stuck in the snow. So all 3 car loads came in my 4wd clown car style with several fat joints going. Janis was slugging Jack Daniels on stage and we loved the show. AWSOME

It’s because he was fucking miserable. He hated being famous. And he was sick of everyone always trying to dissect everything he said and did.

@@MarandaQuinn well he was so "miserable" flighyin in first class around the U.S and Europe, making millions and being the object of desire of thousands of women. If you ask me that's a very miserable and tuff life, poor Kurt at least he had good aim.

Sick of everyone loving him and giving him money and being asked super easy questions 😢 such a tortured artist. God why does everyone act like Kurt had it so rough lmao… Bullied from a young age, had very little tolerance and ability to rationally express himself, perfect recipe for suicide if you’re a softie.

Nirvana. Nonsensical lyrics that rhyme. Good musical notes by skilled musicians. Grade A a-hole of an ignorant jerk for a lead singer. Great post cold war group who solidified a message basically meaning 'what do we do now?' that the end... didn't happen. Or something.
