I'm from iran and currently study in TIS in grade 12, my last year (hopefully it'll get over asap), anyways I'm born in dubai and raised there, and that time you went there dubai wasn't filled with buildings, it was well developing, good stable economy, and most importantly it was cheap 😭, now with dirham getting more expensive in iran, its really hard to travel there, but yet I do coz I still have the resident visa and I don't want to lose it at any cost, anyways lucky you remembering those times

It seems stupid if you take it out of the context as you did. I was talking to another fellow Iranian. If I am about to spend money and travel a long distance then it doesn't worth it. I live in US, so I go to Mexico if I want to go to Cancun or to see Mayan remains. Most of the people can find a good resort such as Cancun somewhere near home and many are not fan of history so traveling from Iran to Mexico does not worth it (for tourism).I know about Mexican history and I love smashed beans :)

BTW, my old statement was about a year ago and I had a bad experience down in south padre (Cartel gangs made the area unsafe and federalis were busy fighting Cartels on the other side of the border, they ruined our plans). Nothing personal against our amigos and amigas!

Mexico is a beautiful country .. i am glad you have enthusiast for learning about different cultures and history :) i hope you can travel to it one day and enjoy it :)
