I have three of them in the family. The 2w013 one I have just bought with 193k on the clock has been looked after, and cheap enough to keep mobile. The side step is not standard fit, so stop whinging and act like a sensible person. Spend some money on the car and learn to repair it yourself. Plenty of help available on forums. Most problems are cheap battery with a low voltage.

Got the distinct impression you weren't all that impressed with this car. I'm just looking at some reviews, to see if I should buy one. I think you might have helped my decision. I think you might have bought a dog, that car did everything but bark. The problem is, buying a car that's at the end of it's life, is not going to end well. These cars are great when you have just paid £45,000 for it, but it wont last long. land rover is just chinglish for "load of crap. I've known several pretty well off people buy range rovers, who eventually had to sell, because they couldn't afford to keep ploughing money into it any longer. Thanks for the laugh.

Bundle of scrap ! typical land rover first repair bill on a FL2 on 100k miles with a duratec diesel engine £2,800k, two years later and £7430 down gearbox re done , turbo re done intercooler re done , etc. its become a labour of love and turning to rust in full view whilst parked on the driveway and yes the engine management light still has a mind of it's own usually on the way to the MOT centre ! buy Japanese Land rover has always been a triumph of marketing over engineering that's why the company provide them free to Royalty and footballers !

Just found a 2004 as a daily, I have T5.1 as my better Car(Van) but its Camper spec so didn’t want to daily drive it and bang loads of mileage on it. The Toyota is one owner genuine 55k with full main dealer Service history and 20 stamps in book apart from the connotations you have mentioned I really can’t fault it and it drives lovely for 20 years old

Have one of these, exact same colour, bought in December 2018 for 1400euro, 5.5 years later still going strong, 19 years old, I'd get most if not all the 1400 back if we sold it. Best value car I've ever bought. It's a mess as it's used to bring the dogs around but it never lets you down. Love the thing.
