Love this. Colne Valley and Stour Valley are my favourite lines. Brilliantly done.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, this is still a work in progress so I will be releasing further videos at sometime in the future with greater detail.

I prefer the original, but with better shadowing. But, hey, what do I know - it's all magic!

I can see the improvements. It will look great when fully dressed. With all the more finely defined features will it not cause more issues in areas with dense scenery as far as loading? What affects will it have on frame rates? We all don't have high end systems.
@dolanbakerАй бұрын
I don't think it will cause memory or CPU issues as it is a single piece of scenery, lofts on the other hand can be CPU intensive, so this should be an improvement

I love this trip. Back in the 70's I commuted between Sudbury and Colchester Art School. Really takes me back paricularly galloping down the hill and over the Mount Bures crossing at 12:02. I am intimately involved with recreating Sudbury Station building in O Gauge at the moment, so look at the fine avenue of trees leading down Station Road from the Great Eastern Pub to the station forecourt around 27:21. ;-)

Watch this space :) , further scenery updates will be made over the next few months.

Great! I have loved the Stour Valley railway since I was 4 years old when my parents moved to Ballingdon House by the railway bridge (47:58). 66 years later, I am making O Gauge models of Sudbury Station and the Sudbury Goods 'box! Countess Balynskia a refugee Polish 'princess' was crossing keeper at Rodbridge (45:25). Had tea with her one day!

I used to play in the (abandoned) old crossing house around 1969, two years after closure and before the rails were lifted, I lived near Long Melford station then.

So fast back then 😮... It's only when you look back at footage like this you realize how constipated the service has become.

dude can you do a class 120
@dolanbaker9 ай бұрын
The class 120's never ran on this route so I won't be building one. I am only working on the route infrastructure & scenery at the moment, and will return to look at relevant rolling stock later.

Hi, I can't seem to get the GER Society link to work and view the original video? I tried to search their site too but no results. This old line passes through where I live and I remember parts of it being dismantled when I was a young boy, great memories and excellent simulation, thank you.

I used this line as a child back in the 60s and this is a very good reproduction of the route. Some of the detail is amazing , the location of the pw hut at Stoke and the middle under bridge having three arches ( there used to be a foot crossing just before the under bridge at Stoke station). Many thanks for this, it has brought back many happy memories

Glad you enjoyed it, still very much work in progress, a lot more detail to add.
