Thats pretty cool not going to lie. I want to see more videos of the electric and automation stuff if anyone could.

There's not much automation offshore. it's mainly done by hand or by ROV (remotely operated vehicle)

@@SubseaTaff after it is pumped up what happens, does it just sit in a tank on the platform?
@SubseaTaff
@SubseaTaff 5 күн бұрын
If it's close to shore, it gets pumped to the shore via pipes and comes in on a shore terminal where it's refined. Some are taken on to an FPSO, and then it gets taken away by a bulk shuttle tanker.

@gabrielhollar7446 I don't have anything to do with the processing side. I come out for maintenance work.

All depends on the part of the world you're in here it's mainly every 21 days, so you do 21 on and 21 off.

I just thought about something, how do you equalize in these helmets?
@SubseaTaff
@SubseaTaff 6 ай бұрын
There is a nose block on the inside of the oral nasal piece that slides in so we can valsalva to equalise

@SubseaTaff ahh ok, thank you! I'm trying to get into this field so bad, but having the biggest debate if I should go through the Army as 12D diving engineer or try to get financial help and go through a school in Florida. I've been losing sleep trying to figure it out. Already started talking to the army recruiter but I'm not sure :/

Riddle a handy thing there, would a ripper tooth be better to pull it down 1st?
@SubseaTaff

House was already collapsing, ripper would have been perfect for the pad afterwards but that came up very easy too

Didn't need it on this job as they only wanted that piece of hedge removed for a caravan delivery, was reinstated straight after
