As a Weis customer for the last 16+ years I came across this video after having my fair share of your self check out and doing a Google search on annoying self checkouts! Your newest checkouts bring out the worst in me! They are loud !! there’s no volume button like there was on the older ones. And there’s nothing worse than trying to check your groceries and having some machine barking orders that you left and right if you’re too slow and Berks orders, please continue please continue please continue and then if you’re too fast it kicks out a please wait for help and you can’t do anything else until somebody comes and does whatever they need to do to get it unfrozen ! Absolutely, makes me angry. I leave the store pissed off every single time.. I don’t mind self check out at all. I actually prefer red, but in your stores, I’ve had enough we will be shopping elsewhere from now on.! we are saying goodbye to loud obnoxious, bossy, malfunctioning, self check out at Weis

CVS Has Those Self Checkouts

Extremely bad idea. I don't know why stores continue to want to push this. I've seen people wait 30 mins in line just to get to a real cashier. I didn't expect weis would do something like this. We'll just start going to stores that don't use any self checkouts. Customers don't like it. Store researchers just tell you that because they're hoping that others will like it too. All so they can save their money and not hire as many people to work in the store. While customers have to work the register

As an employee of Weis Markets the self checkout is still buggy and some people especially the older people or people that dont understand english wont use the self checkout. Also going to all self checkouts is not a good idea cause there are things that they cant do. You cant do checks, WIC, if your EBT doesnt slide you cant manual entry and SHIPT cant do tax exempt and being able to split between multiple credit/debit cards. The store I work at has a large elderly pop and many said they wont shop there if it self checkouts only. I know this is the future but you have to take into account store to store. There still lots to do to get these machines not to be so frustrating to the customer plus they need to be more simpler and less steps and being able to scan all produce.

I loved your Self Checkout system in Croatia (Konzum stores). However since 2019. they switched from Toshiba to NCR. Not single supermarket in Croatia uses Toshiba, and since last few years, not single Toshiba was installed. Who is supplier for Croatia and why is he doing bad job?
