Great you keep calm. Wind speed gradient means that wind speed is diminishing as you get closer to the ground. Fly lower could have helped. The wind speed in itself it s not so dangerous cause your air speed is the as if there is no wind. It s going to be turbulent as you get closer to the ground. It s important to take care about the rotors caused by trees or buildings, just above the ground. Landing far from trees, etc.

@RobNavPPG, cool project! ) What material did you use for the rear axles? Steel? Aluminum? Do you mind sharing the dimensions? Thx!

after a river rescue the wonderful boaters that saved me absolutely bees nested my lines- god bless them this worked in very short time- most importantly coax out the torsion/ friction knots, spread it out, and it should fall apart and display any twists

Trims? I would of went full trims out no flair landing. Plus no descent. Big ears. Pull one side out with a.s . Looks like you were just trying to glide down.

Informative video, we have all made the mistake of the urgency to fly. Once you decide to fly you are on your own. On the take off run dont be in a hurry to get off, always allow 10 seconds settle time to make sure all is ok. I noticed that as soon as your wing has launched you are on the gas, let it do what it wants, its amazing what you can recover from and still get off safely.

Thanks for the good tip. I Carried on a habit paragliding/ridge soaring. You’re on the edge of a cliff, as soon as your canopy inflates you’ve got to be in a torpedo position and off the cliff.

You mentioned switching wind directions and having to reset your wing multiple times....me having been flying for 14 years...this would have been my first warning....unstable air. mabe if you sat it out for a bit..the wind would have settled into a constant direction. glad your ok....Fly safe!

kudos to you on building your own trike. I myself am a bit of a builder also and thought of doing my own trike but ended up buying from Kangook their smaller version and it worked out fine for only 1k, maybe if I would have had the tools like the tig welder, and time it would have been a great project to work on. like you I knew after my very first flight that I needed a trike. So again kudos and congrats.

I don’t know what the brand. It was just labelled spandex material. Also, I handpainted the texture and web since it was a plain red spandex fabric.

Dude...You have a business here. I love your trike, and the CAD work is nice. I see where you offered to email your CAD files to a guy, very cool, but you've clearly put a lot of time and effort into your design and it'll provide value to others. I don't want a free copy, I want you to take 10 minutes to set up an eBay store and I want to be your first customer. I'd easily pay $19.95 for the electronic version of what you have....and I'll bet that $39.95 wouldn't slow demand....then you just have to promote it a bit on FB. I'll help you if you want, but it's not difficult. Beautiful design, man. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pJ2DmdSjq9zNdps.html
