Is there any risk of the airbag going off when removing that?

very useful. Many videos didn't show how the bolt was removed and you actually did. Thanks

I hope all you people realize this is ridiculous to have to deal with all the cleaning of the "filter". All the shit and allergies go right into your face and nose while cleaning it.. When you have a bagged unit, everything is filtered perfectly and the bag contains all the shit. These piece of shit cordless, bagless crap are ridiculous....

Don't mean to be rude but this is a lazy video and won't work for first timers. Those two bolts will be so tight that you will need a socket wrench for both. A ring spanner won't work for the sump plug and an adjustable won't work for the oil filter. Because those two bolts will be tightened to torque spec and very hard to get off. You will also need to lift the vehicle with either ramps or stands so that you have room to use the socket wrench. The only reason this works I'd because his bolts are only tightened by hand, which is the incorrect way to do it. The plug and the filter have a number on it and they are supposed to be tightened accordingly. If you are doing this yourself for the first time you will need: Oil Filter Ramps or stands 15mm socket wrench 32mn socket wrench Otherwise you'll have a rough time. Also tighten it properly. Use a torque wrench

Tested out both the HX2 Pro and Dyson V10 Absolute. Ended up getting HX2 Pro ($Au300 off RRP)...., so much higher build quality, suction felt close to the same when testing in the store carpet sample with maybe Miele a little stronger, Love the barrel/motor down low as it's so much more comfortable to use than up the top, the V10 was heaps noisier (I reckon over 50% more db) and the plastics felt so much more cheaper in the chassis and parts compared with HX2 Pro. I have no prob's with cleaning as I use an air gun on the compressor to quickly clean the filter and bin after emptying which makes it so much quicker (less than 1 minute to do). The only shortfall with HX2 would be the smaller dust bin size compared to the V10. A big winner for us with HX2 was the 2nd battery and charging dock in the kit which is essential with a stick vac.

I Miele product. The c3 cat dog powerline is awesome, love it. But this POS here? Don’t buy it. The dust filter is extremely difficult to remove. Mine started to leak vacuum after just a couple of months. Its underpowered. Its just a really poorly engineered/designed/made POS.

Thanks for your review. I was thinking to sell my Dyson V12 Slim and replace it with the Miele Triflex HX2. But after your honest experience, I will keep my Dyson and very disappointed about the Miele.

I'm very disappointed with my Miele Triflex HX2 Pro, which I paid a lot of money for. The fine dust filter is totally impossible for me to remove for cleaning and I have to enlist the help a male (who is much stronger to remove it)...and even then if was extremely difficult to remove. Very poor design for the price paid for this cleaner. And now, the roller brush has ceased to rotate! The cleaner is only 12 months old. I wish I had purchased a Dyson.
@Joelyabbadoo8 ай бұрын
Yea it's a shame because they did some things well. But I agree, for the money it's not as good and user friendly as it should be. At the moment the dyson is the better choice.

Miele has 5 years warranty/ 7 on motor .. Dyson only 1 year.... I'd rather empty dust bin more often then dealing with Dyson

It's still fantastic. I love it! No fuel, heaps of power, does the job. They even make a great 18V version now which is almost identical so if you want to use 36V or 18V batteries it's totally up to you (plus the newer versions look better too). The new versions also have a slightly better catcher system. All in all, a great machine.

I'm currently choosing between Dyson Gen5Detect and Miele Triflex HX2 pro. What do you think about the easiness of movement between the Dyson and Miele cordless vaccums in general? Isn't Miele a lot easier to vaccum? Although after this video I think I've made my mind to choose Dyson, but it's still interesting to know what you think since you've tried both of the firms.

I find it difficult to unscrew the dust compartment. Would it be ok to put some Vaseline or similar on it to make it easier to unscrew? and the same with the joints while it is brand new?
@Joelyabbadoo8 ай бұрын
I wouldn't personally. As that will only attract dust to stick on the Vaseline and you'll end up with clumps of grease everywhere.
