A night to remember is definitely the 2nd best titanic movie of course titanic 1997 being the best a night to remember still holds up today so it must have been an insane movie at the time.

Siempre que recuerdo este terrible suceso lloro. LLoro por las victimas y las familias que no tenían nada que ver con los malditos talibanes, maldito fanatismo.. Maldito quien sea que también halla estado involucrado en la planificación de esos ataques.

I don't remember the name of the actor playing Rostron, but he did a REMARKABLE job. We watch him as Rostron, going from pissed off that one of his crew didn't follow protocol by not knocking before waking him up, to, upon confirming the news, acting quickly and decisively, and showing by example what a Captain SHOULD be. Yet his humanity comes out at his despair at not being able to arrive in time, knowing even then that he's going to be too late, to the distress as he speaks and tells the CALIFORNIAN (who SHOULD have been on the scene) in a breaking voice that no more can be done.

All (even the nazi version) are canon. Except "Legend of the TITANIC". The only thing canon in "LOTT" is Rapping Dog. THAT IS canon.

NASA spent like a million dollars on R&D to create the Astronaut pen. They used like pressurized tubes & ball bearings & space grade metal & they finally did it. When the Russian Space agency was arrogantly asked what they thought about this "brilliant" invention that would aid in revolutionizing space travel, they replied-- "We simply use a pencil"... "Riiight..."🤔

they should have made it home at the start of season 7, then delt with the return in season 7 - the last scene of the show should have been Adm Paris holding his grand-daughter with all of the crew around them as family.

Rostron was expecting to find Titanic heavily damaged but afloat when Carpathia started their dash through the night. That's why they arrived almost overprepared (if there is such a thing in this situation). They expected to take on 2200 souls and hopefully recover a fair amount of Titanic's cargo too. Only when Titanic's wireless signal got weaker and finally cut out, Rostron was considering the possibility to arrive on side with Titanic gone.

As a 10-year-old in the mid-70s I would tape record movies off TV with my Panasonic cassette recorder, dutifully pausing it during commercials. I would go to sleep listening to them. This one required several cassettes! Like Hitchcock and the Bond movies, it was so exciting to anticipate the ABC Sunday Night Movie so that I could capture my faves!

Mammy's got personality, with how she talks and the way she walks, she's infinitely more preferable than whatever stick they throw in place of her. She may be a product of her time, but she's interesting to watch and a staple part of my childhood growing up.

Steve sounds like he took the tone and enunciations that Jim made for Kermit, but more polished and cleaned up. Which is a good thing. Mike has his moments where it sounds like he's not even trying.
