I used to play this on Amiga 500 - it was nowhere near as feature-complete as this version. I heard somewhere that it was actually released unfinished on the Amiga! Which would explain a few things. I have no recollection of auto-fire on the catapult, nor those fancy things like greek fire! Still - nostlagia city!

The more lower tier premiums you already have the bigger chance to get higher tier one I think. On the other hand, I must admit that there have been lot worse hauls some of the previous years :-)

Well, it was 72 megas and like 10-15 small and medium ones, so in theory it should yield more :-) I admit this Christmas I got more lucky than previous years.

type10 got better hardpoint spread so the turrets cover more angles than on the cutter.

I do not know but let's watch your video,.. & find out... The Faith you have in your Fighter pilot tells me that your fighter is at least Master rating. Now that there is the problem with Prismatic Shields, Hard as Steel n Stone but once down, it takes about 5 minuets just for them to Reactive. Luckily, the T-10 has a very strong Hull & room for more Hull protection. Nice little Experimental video. Next time, do not leave your Beautiful ship unattended but I hoped you learnt something. Some tried to place their T10 very near a rotating asteroid, it seems that it eliminate blind spots effectively (and no need to turn flight assist off)

My impression was that around 11:35 the turrets stopped firing for more than a full minute, probably the attackers positioned themselves into blind zones. Looks like this was the critical period when the attackers have cumulated up. Maybe a very slow turn in one direction (elimintating the blind spots) could have solved this problem or at least give the ship another 5 minutes or even more?

the reason type 10 works best is the number and location of hardpoints. I guess you can give it a try with a corvette, but i think it will not be ideal.

@@whiskeysk I tried it out and it melts pirates faster and with less damage to my ship my ship is untouched, and I have no over heating like I do on the type 10. 🙃

Problem was that your fighter died. Just use a good npc and you are fine, my elite pilot never died in low res. 2nd problem, your shields took years to recover, try engeneered bi-weaves ... working very well for me.

Actually those are grade 5 engineered prismatic shields. Regarding the fighter, didn't really matter if she was master or elite, there was always the odd case where the ship was destroyed. No biggie, massive profits nonetheless :-)

I saw you mentioned you don’t know how to avoid the police, you can turn off self report crimes in the ship tab on your right panel and that makes it so your ship won’t automatically report crimes against you

It's about luck, sometimes you get swarms of pirates attacking you nonstop, sometimes nothing at all but, all in all, it is a very viable build and the credits earned far outweigh the few times you have to rebuy. 500M well spent.

and if there is nothing at all coming, feel free to exit to main game menu and load the game again, pirates eager to scan you in a RES will be aplenty...

yeah, as the pirates are tagged as "wanted", anyone is free to shoot them. The only drawback is that police happen to steal quite a few of your kills, but hey, it is what it is, haven't found a way to avoid them completely. On the other hand, the profit was 2.9B credits in 10 days or so, being mostly AFK, including having to rebuy a few times when the ship died for one reason or other, and after the initial investment of about 500m credits to get the Type-10 and equip it.

Nice vid and grats on getting Enterprise. I tried my luck with 10 boxes and got an Orkan. That was enough to convince me not to try again.

Thx. The boxes work best if you already have many premiums, ideally the short listed ones in the first place. Today I bought Hizen using the doubloons from the boxes in the video. Funnily enough, one of the boxes you receive for completing a certain building phase gave me Alaska :-) Finished the snowflake grind yesterday, will probably post a video of the 40 or so boxes received in the process.
