Yeah boii, that was a pleasure to watch Tam. The fish are there right enough right at the back end of the pool. I liked were you wadded in to fish that far bank just under Leaderfoot bridge. It gave me great memories, Fish that at the back end of the season you'll get the bigger salmon holding in there. "There's my little tip" lol I thought you would had a few pulls from that run but it wasn't to happen. Gutted for you Tam, there will be a next time. I'll be driving up there next Wednesday to visit family. Tight lines buddy till next time I might even see you on the bank lol

wow, Tam your just down from Newstead that's a great run your fishing i know it very well. I've seen big salmon come from that run. I used to fish there back in the 90s.

Well done Tam! That’s a massive day. Epic in fact. I actually fished Tweedswood in June while visiting from America, and I landed an absolutely beautiful fish in the same pool! Literally within 10 yards of where you caught the first salmon. Ghillie Phil was superb, and who doesn’t love River and Skye, Phil’s friends? So happy to view this video as it reminds me of my similar experience! Tweedswood is having a banner year.

Thanks mate 👍 Yeah the reel is really nice! It’s LTS Odin Thore, got it on eBay actually. Don’t think they sell in the uk anymore or went busted. Not much info online

Well done, it’s an achievement to get one these days, let alone two. We’ve been staying near Peebles for a few days heading back north today, the Tweed and the Lyne Water near where we stayed are stunning. No holiday fishing though unfortunately!

Used to fish Melrose area when I lived their and caught plenty but the river's not quite what it used to be

Great place to fish! True but this season is very good, this beat has 32 fish already, which is equal to what they had the whole season last year.

@@Hookedonfly they used to catch that in one beat each week back in they days I myself caught many salmon on trout flies! Mertoun estate has some good pools further down the water that hold good fish there's some deep pools and the cauld on the upper beat always supplies good luck 🤞

Thanks 👍 The new set up definitely made a difference in my fishing. New rod is really nice to cast, I’m getting more distance with minimum effort and new reel just sounds amazing! Tight lines 👊
