Was this the end of the interview? It cuts off suddenly, and I'd love to hear the rest of it.

Ray is a well-spoken man but that interviewer sounds dry, unenthusiastic, not much into the flow of the conversation.Oh well, can't win 'em all.

I am so glad I got to meet him in 2003 in Vancouver B.C. when he, Robby , & Ian Astbury were touring as Doors in the 21st Century. What a gentleman he was . He was so appreciative of his Doors fans . ❤✌

I wish that Justin and John would not become strangers. It would be nice if they would continue with another album or 2 being the BLUE JAYS! It can happen and their music will still be very loved by all of their fans, I guarantee it!!!

Love Big Sur. I lived in the San Gabriel Valley, always had a radio on, i was the age of the kid in the Memphis TN. I was the youngest, and my sister n cousions would blast Moms Stereo when we were cleaning, while she was at work. Been a fan ever since. In the 90s i had my daughter in the car, radio on KRTH 101and my daughter asked me 'the question' Why is he saying secret ASIAN MAN? I was laughing, had to explain 007and what a spy wasshe loves 60s n 70s music. I always wanted to marry you as a kid, and i am a bit older now and sometimes i live in Historic dist of Boulder COLORADO. Had a f t ien from my teens here when i was married about when this was made, 2001 and did a Fat Tuesday night. She brought me a CD had a guy on the front in a suit with a tape outline of the body. 🫣 had great New Orleans music, i loved that. And i love you! Thanks for putting this out, to both of you. Come visit, and know i did go to school for Multitrack Recording the year it was high time to start digital, so i learned both that year ! ❤ Don't stop what you do!

Very informative. However, I do wish we could hear the questions, because I can't always tell what song Ray's referring to if he doesn't say the title. Time to get out the earbuds I guess.

Love these guys so much. Just saw both of their shows last week, they are still fantastic. 2024 even stranger times! They are so humble, their music was the best. No one could do what they did, not even the Beatles.

A lot of details on how the Doors were formed comes out in this interview that always gets glossed over in more PR sounding interviews. I dont think most people are aware how bad a singer Jim was when he started out, you can hear the original album they made on youtube which the record company wouldnt release. They grew organically as a band, its amazing they saw the potential in Jim and that potential fully flowered into something much more powerful than any other band had made at that time. Im quite sure Jim is still alive, I wish he would finally come out of hiding and give the universe a last goodbye.

A great musician, remarkably intelligent man, great storyteller, legend. But without Jesus Christ he is in hell, like Jim Morrison. Robbie Krieger and John Densmore still have hope to turn to Jesus.

Dan is and forever will be the most prolific and powerful songwriter of my generation. I'm 62 and have been listening to him for 50 years! I saw him do his acoustic shows at Valley Forge every time he came. I think he touches our souls with his lyrics and tunes and they're so relevant! Miss you!❤🎉

Dan was the only artist of his era who stood against the idea of putting video to music, siting individual images should free flow forever inside each of us and never bind you to one visual thought, limiting the beauty of the art...

FUN FACT: Johnny visited ELVIS at GRACELAND. "E" was recording "MEMPHIS" (Tennessee). JR thanked him, went home, recorded & quickly released it, himself. Not surprisingly, was NEVER invited back to GRACELAND again. The music industry, huh?

To be honest, Dennis DeYoung pretty much became a scenery chewing front man who quickly turned Styx into an adult contemporary act. Things got even worse when Styx reformed in 1990 and had a hit with Show Me The Way, and DeYoung took up all of the creative control resulting in Styx becoming nothing more than his backing band with little resemblance to the original group.
