Ill never forget seeing these lads supporting Architects in Bristol 2011, was a great gig and it's crazy they aren't as appreciated as some of the bands from that era ❤

First half is pure hardcore, second part is post-hardcore and they blend it so naturally. I stumbled upon this song while looking through LTA's discography (I know them from NFS MW 2012) and it's now one of my favourites

Track explores themes of existential uncertainty, the search for purpose, and a struggle with mental health. In the opening lines, the protagonist ponders what would happen if the world were to end. This question reflects their uncertainty and anxiety about their own existence. They wonder if they would "plummet or ascend" in the face of such an event, or if they would even be aware that it had occurred. This suggests a feeling of detachment from the world and a sense of helplessness. The protagonist then expresses a desire to believe in destiny and that there is a plan for their life. However, their mind resists accepting this idea, possibly due to their struggles with insecurity and self-doubt. This internal conflict adds to their feelings of confusion and disillusionment. The song further delves into the protagonist's dissatisfaction with their current circumstances. They describe feeling trapped in a monotonous existence, where each day feels the same. This repetition leads to a loss of motivation and a gradual decline in their outlook on life. They long for something to change, to break free from this cycle and find meaning. The line "Have you ever thought that maybe The Truman Show was real?" references the movie "The Truman Show" in which the main character realizes that his entire life has been a manufactured reality TV show. The protagonist compares themselves to Truman, feeling as if they themselves are part of an elaborate show where their secrets and struggles have been exposed. This notion adds to their desire for an escape or an "off switch" to their racing thoughts before they become overwhelmed. Overall, "If the World Was to End" reflects a sense of existential crisis, grappling with one's purpose and the burden of a troubled mind. The lyrics convey the protagonist's yearning for change, understanding, and a renewed sense of hope in the face of personal struggles.

Still in my top 10 albums. What a fuckin band. To hardcore what the Police were to 80s rock. Flipped it on its head and some truly inspiring tunes. This song still makes my hairs stand on edge. Cut the lads hair a few times and partied with them. Down to earth and good mother fuckers.
