Well you should reread it because, I said that is the month christians celebrate Jesus's birthday, not when he was born. Also explain how Christians celebrating a demon the same month they celebrate the birth of their savior Jesus Christ is not ridiculous, even if you aren't a christian it's easy to see this, if these were pagans celebrating then that's their thing, and I get the christian being judgemental, but their not, they are christians, pagans, and norse people converted long ago.

Big Green Well for one, only YOU and a few other absolute idiots on here, even made this about RELIGION, when it has NOTHING to do with religion in the first place. do you even know what Krampus is? clearly you are ignorant to the meaning, as he is a balanced counter part to saint Nicholas, whereas St Nicholas rewarded GOOD children, and Krampus punished the BAD ones. please learn this before you let your muddled "religious views" cloud that of age old history and tradition. ;) Don't even get me started on the Norse roots of ACTUAL Yule ("Christmas"), before it underwent a Christianised reformation, making it "christmastide", honey. lol do you want to learn about the Yule goat? or how Odin was Yule father? theirs no rule on who or what can celebrate the old ways. and saying Christians can't/shouldnt simply because they're christians, is also absolutely idiotic on your part, and anyone who thinks thus. because any smart person knows that krampus is taken as serious as Santa. they are BOTH one and the same, being one rewards and the other punishes, which keeps bad children behaving properly for fear of krampus, and the happy arrival of saint Nicholas for being behaved.

Was just sitting here thinking about this, I see christmas lights up everywhere and the people say they do this before christmas, dressing up as demons and celebrating demons, the same month you celebrate the birth of Jesus. Really don't understand how they think that is ok.

People like you are whats wrong with Christianity. Always jumping to judgment when your book says thou shalt not judge. Krampus is part of a centuries-old Christmas tradition in Germany, where Christmas celebrations begin in early December. Krampus was created as a counterpart to kindly St. Nicholas, who rewarded children with sweets. Krampus, in contrast, would swat "wicked" children and take them away to his lair. I think its beautiful and I wish we did this in America. A lot of time and effort clearly goes into these costumes, although i am a little worried about those torches and that fur on some of these fellows.

People who thinking pretending to be a demon and clapping and thinking demons are cool and neat "are whats wrong with christianity".......k.
