I've found that when reformed Christians (Evangelicals, Baptists, Pentecostals) talk about the commandments they use a different numbering system than traditional Christians (Catholics, Lutherans, EO). So I'm guessing you're talking about murder - I would be talking about authority (gov't, parents, any power structure - employer, teacher, etc.) Does that sound right?

Or in Matthew 5:27-30 when Jesus speaks about lust, why do you think that Jesus says that if your eye causes your to sin, gauge it out? What is the danger of sin? We can stay obedient but resist tyranny. Peaceful objection. 5. Pay your taxes , give onto Cesar. Again it's about obeying the authority that is placed upon us. Unjust as it may seem, we must follow the laws placed upon us, unless they are unjust laws that go against God's laws. We are to be a representation of Christ and what Christ would do in these events. Therefore we should not cling to earthly wealth but heavenly reward. The next topic that needs to be discussed is pre-tribulation and tribulation time period. Too many are not being educated in the church about the events that are soon to unfold. That is why I believe we are in the 7th church. The empty church. Thoughts?

Great comment again. Just on #4 and #5 - #4 you're not saying GOD SAYS taxation is theft, that's just how you feel (you're not alone). #5 pay your taxes, God says it, we like it. Does that sound accurate? As for the end of the world and eschatology, we hit that topic in the fall at the end of the church year. I am looking forward to it 🙂

I agree - this is just talking about what God says about taxes. I wouldn't necessarily have a problem if the government decided to tax non-profits. There are some enormous hospitals and colleges that don't take in "profits".
