I always just allowed mine to fly. If you feed them well, they always return. In fact, on two separate occasions, I had a spare drake that brought a Mallard female home.

Hello there can l have your duck eggs for my incubator please
@debbiehanley7312 жыл бұрын
We do not sell their eggs
@_robustus_2 жыл бұрын
I can’t believe it’s so difficult. You’re using an incubator and you’re the 1st thing they see, hear and interact with. If it’s this difficult, I should stick to muscovies.

I recommend Indian Runner Ducks

These are a wild species, whereas Indian Runner Ducks are domesticated.

By the way for crate training I have one comment about that… Mine sleeps in a little dog house and that it has also become his crate so that’s his safe place whenever he runs away from me which I wish you wouldn’t do but... that’s an idea too ...to make it their bed maybe

I just discovered my duck loves (over ripe) banana! I was having a hard time figuring out what he actually like to eat besides meal worms and lettuce and I’ve tried like everything LOL today I was eating banana and just wanted to see if he would try it and he gobbled it down and then wanted more! I don’t want to give him too much sugar so I didn’t give them too much but it was hard not to because he really liked it. Went I first found this orphan I didn’t know what to do and I gave him some watermelon because it was hydration and sugar so I learned they like that too! He doesn’t care about peas at all I’ve tried them raw and cooked and even dried ones ground up and then added water but he just doesn’t like peas and everyone else is seem to he also is scared of the earth worms I bought him. Odd duck

Sometimes it takes awhile before they get used to something new in their diet. Watermelon is a good treat BUT be sure not to feed them the watermelon seeds.

Yes but be cautious not to disturb or stress the parents by getting too close to the eggs.
