Out of the 6 jobs in my life I only worked at one longer than a year without being promoted. Usually just because I paid more attention and stayed diligent. I think that translates to what he’s saying here. Whatever rat race were in it doesn’t take much to actually be ahead of most the pack. Most aren’t honestly trying at all.

I wouldnt say desperate but you are right .I went to a Porsche Center with two friends when i was 16, we went in there with skateboards and sweaty af.i fell in love with a carbon gt3 rs, they treated us like we about to buy this thing.we could sit in it he turned on the engine and showed us everything i will never forget that.great company

No it’s not ,the very same thing happened to a mate of mine in the 80s when Ford launched the navy blue and silver MK2. Granada ,We went to a Ford dealership in shorts and trainers with a vest top on ,,,he was going to pay cash for one of the cars and a snotty young man came and asked us to leave .We went to another dealer’s that day and got a better deal on the car., he got fired .So don’t be so quick to comment

Thank you Lord Jesus for making me "different" that I do not follow the mainstream of society.
