I always loved Jean Stapleton and she brought her character of Edith to life, with love and compassion, and strength of heart. She was truly loved by those who knew and worked with her. Jean and Carrol were a pair that grew with each other in the show and both were truly talented and beloved.

I couldn't stand All ì in the Family when it made its' debut, because I was 8. I didn't understand it. Our parents loved it from episode one!! As years went by, I've now seen every episode multiple times over. I miss Jean and Carroll and the other wonderful supporting character actors who appeared over the years on the program. AITF was WAY ahead of its' time. TV today is a plane crash on top of a train wreck.

Edison Lighthouse was not the most. hated band. Like most people I knew back then it was not a song that meant anything and was a song that was kinda of just there. Neither loved or hated. For most people, myself included, the song was more like some commercial jingle. Catchy but, just there. But, no one hated it. A band that I really hated was Captain and Tennille.
