This is really great! In watching Black Sabbath live videos I see that sometimes Tony does not hold and arpeggiate the G minor chord form but rather plays the notes, moving his fingers as if playing a lead (while still muting). This much easier to play and very fluid.

When you listen to the original it has the grittiest guitar sound modern emulators just can't seem to properly get.... also as you noted the playing has a certain 'swing' to it. Great to hear others acknowledge this.... it is something to my ears that is sorely missing from modern metal and music in general, and the one thing that makes these riffs all the more bludgeoning ...please have a closer listen as to my ears he doesn't always complete the opening riff before going to the C and D... Love the black SG btw👍. Fun fact - I used to be Phoney Iommi is a Sabbath concept band called Sabra Cadabra way back in the 90's... and yes I am a southpaw SG owner....😸 we used to cover this one.
