Actually, there is another lionel polar express, but I don't know if it still exists, that bit is diesel locomotive.

You should take a look at some Williams locomotives some time. They aren't command control and packed with features like most modern locomotives but they have a Lionel post war charm to them with a slight modern spin.

Glad you get it all working Chris. I have been there myself when a couple of of my OO gauge model trains decided to do their own thing and the Hornby Class 60 that was 60071 in EWS livery that I had back in 2007 jumped the points and knock off my oncoming Class 50 on the other line. Both of them along with some coaches and wagons hit the floor. 60071 only sustained broken horns and some footsteps came off. The Class 50 which was 50031 named as "Hood" also from Hornby wasn't so lucky as it got the brunt from the laminate floor and the Class 60 landing on top of it. I was on the phone at the time and I used to run my trains fast as it looked fun but I learned the hard way that it was NOT a good idea.

Great review RBP! In my opinion, the class A's are the best articulated steam engines, EVER! I'm glad Lionel made a Vision model of it :)

I would cry if I drop my Vision Line Big Boy. I handle it with care and caution. It’s one of my favorite locomotives on my fleet.
