If you overstretch the material and not lay it relaxed, it definitely will leave a lift time. This rolled corner will outlast the vehicle when done properly. You'll know within the first few hours if you'll have any issues.

in my car its a (regular corolla sedan). there is some vomit inside the door where the window is. 1.) If i follow these steps and attempt to clean the car is it ok? 2.) It wont rust if i use car soap/water in a spray and spray it down with water and fan dry it? Thank you

3m PPF usually will leave adhesive marks if I stretch like that even with using hot water / steamer. Have you used 3m product and if so is stek a superior company?

How thick is your ppf? 6.5, 7.5 or 8.5mil?

For PPF 60 is ideal, 45 works fine. For tint 30 is what we prefer.

That edge will likely peel eventually. Its best to just make a small right angle cut on each side. Almost every single wrapper ppf pattern has those corners cut for a reason. Spray alcohol/tack solution and then blow it dry with a compressor if you can. Then just use your heat gun and wrap it. It's cake when its dry.

Well, looks like the science of PPF isn’t quite there yet. Peeling film, thousands of dollars to install and reinstall, permanent bug stains, yellowing, pitting - and your cut and paste repair, kinda turns off a car enthusiast.

Its your solution to wash away the soap and "tack" the material down. For us, we use distilled water.

Don’t rush to tuck is what I’ve learned so far I’m fairly new to ppf installing i usually let it cure a bit or use a steamer and slowly roll the corners and then edges
