This is seriously one of the best videos. The production quality is amazing! Also, after watching this, I think I've never had properly adjusted bike 😀

I love this video. It sure seems like they had a couple of pops before the director called "action."

I'd appreciate less poetry, and a more clearly visual presentation of where the G pulley is supposed to exactly be for proper adjustment

Is there such a thing as an acceptable 'normal' average tension for the spokes in a basic 26" or 27" bike wheel with (say) 1.8mm steel spokes? Would 100kgf be too high? Would 55kgf be too low? What's a good figure to aim for? 75kgf, maybe? I'm not thinking about a super-high performance wheel that's going to be used by a pro rider and rebuilt every day; just an ordinary bike doing ordinary mileage, and set up for durability rather than peak performance.

I have to ask because you fail to mention it, which is the l screw which is the h? You point out how to adjust but you don't mention which one is which.
@bidiklika6353Күн бұрын
Shift your front derailleur to the lowest gear and then try to adjust both of them at the same time. The one makes front derailleur move in this case is the L screw.

I watched a few of these Park Tool videos and unfortunately because of the choice of front camera angle used, the guy’s hands obstruct what he’s doing a lot of the time at some of the most important parts. Great, clear demo, but you can’t see what he’s doing at these points. 😔

This is just what i needed. I'm new to making bike adjustments and got an old nice bike from someone. Time to dive in with confidence.

I love the Park Tool's KZfaq videos and have watched many videos. I have a question about adjusting the rear derailleur. My fitness bike (Trek FX 6) shifts from 5th gear to 6th gear (to a heavier gear) with some delay. I know I need to lower the tension. My question is whether I should lower the tension when the chain is in 5th gear or do I lower the tension when the chain is in 6th gear. I hope you can help me with answering this question. Many thanks in advance and kind regards!

At maximum looseness, i still get a lot of chain rubbing against the outer cage in the lowest gear (ie large gear at front, smallest gear at back). Any ideas on how to stop it?Boardman Adv 8.6, Shimano Sora 18-speed gearing with an 11-34T cassette, if that helps.

Got my cheap, dicks sporting goods, my bike, shifting like a boss, using this video, thanks. I tellya I bought this from a box store and the guy "teched" it out, lol ok... Well I played around with the adjustments and this thing is sounding and shifting way faster now, I love it, can't even hear the chain and the shifts are quick and crisp. Thanks again.

My left crank just fell off while riding. Crazy. If it happened 10 minutes earlier when I was descending a hill standing up on them I could have died. Luckily I was just lightly pedaling sitting down at the time so one moment Im pedaling and in 1 second my crank is on the ground behind me. Bike is like brand new 2022 model, all standard, never messed with, never crashed or dropped.

Have a park tool stand and a wall clamp. Both have clamps that rotate downward after clamp in my bike in to them. My bike weights 18’ 6”. No matter how hard I tighten the either clamp they slowly turn. Not happy with them

There's one problem - the thing that holds the magnet in place tends to break, making the cleaner almost useless. I keep the magnet in place with a piece of duct tape and it keeps falling off. Please update the design, guys!

I have that same "clunk" noise coming from my casette but it's only when I'm on the bottom 4-5 sprockets (11spd casette). Initially I thought it was the missing spacer but the guys in the bike shop gave me a spacer and I installed it. Could be that the free hub body itself is already worn out?
