One thing about these radials engines alot of the 401s are still around but have been converted to turbo prop or turbo diesel.

I’ve rode in these in Louisiana more than once… it’s a rough ride but it’s fun.. I’ve rode in the AT 602 a few times as well. It’s like a glider compared to the older radials.

@@amadeoplett I like em.. I’d pick. a old 301 over any of them. I know there is better designs but still.. you can’t blot the 301 out the picture. You should have seen some of the guys I’ve crammed with in the cockpit.. I don’t even know if that’s illegal but hey I fit in there lol.. I used to work as a loader too.. mixing the chems.. like bidrin, bracket 90, acephate 97, intrepid, gramaxone, etc… even malathon. I guess that’s how you spell it but you know what I’m saying…

@@fickleblumper sounds like a cool experience. I have not been fortunate enough to ride one yet, but I'm hoping to be able to learn to fly them soon

@@amadeoplett you’ll need a PPL, a CLASS 2 MEDICAL, as well as the AGRICULTURAL PILOT LICENSE.. your looking at 250 to 300 hours plus, it depends.. but it’s worth it.. lots of reading, lots of flight time required. You got nothing but time. Use it to get the AG license..

I’ve rode in many of these. And the old AT 301,s.. I like the radials more. But the turbines are more of a smooth ride.. the radials are a little bumpy lol.. they sound so badass though.
