Hey Greg had a question when’s is a good time to clean the playfield when u see ball trails or u wait longer
@HurryUpPinball
@HurryUpPinball Ай бұрын
I usually like to clean the playfield once you start seeing distinct ball trails in the inlanes. This will usually correspond to light smudging on the playfield graphics. You can also run you fingers over the playfield surface and if you see a lot of black residue in your fingertips, it is usually time. Since I go through phases with plain certain games a lot all at once, it’s hard to give a specific timeframe. It really comes down to how often you play it. I can tell you when I put about 300 plays on venom over about a month of playing it got dirty pretty quick and I needed to clean it. If it gets really dirty, then the ball will slow down and the playfield will look pretty grimy.

Super tough call for me at the moment. I really like both. JP code is essentially complete with code and Jaws has more to go before 1.0 code. I have the same amount of fun playing both at the moment. I honestly can’t decide between the two so my recommendation is to get both 😂 I think Jaws has the potential to be better than JP depending on what happens with the code.

Another great stream, didn’t keep this one long, but great price on the ad. Now that you had both an original and CE, any preference? Oh and the end digits on co op indicates which player and how many reactors they destroyed.

Thanks for that info about the last digit. Never knew that. I really feel like they both play about the same but I do like the cosmetic upgrades on the CE over the standard. Both games were fast and brutal. I wanted some more time with this one and was able to grab it locally so I jumped on it.

I checked the stern manual and there is no part number for the nylon plunger. Here is a link to pinball life and they have a few stern plungers available. You may need to measure the length to determine which one is correct. It’s a bummer they don’t include a part number for the plunger in the schematics. www.pinballlife.com/bell-armatures-plungers-and-vuks.html?CatListingOffset=0&Offset=0&Per_Page=20&Sort_By=name_asc

Hey sir, I ordered everything in your supply list with the links you provided. I thought you might like to know that the Supernight light set that you linked to is now a 4 pin connector, not a 5. The extra 5 pin connectors and wifi adapter will not work with this light set. Also, the power adapter has the plug molded right into the box instead of being on the end of a cord. It makes plugging in to the service plug in the pinball machine difficult if it's in a tight space. I know you have no control over a manufacturer, but I thought you might like to know so you can update your links.
@HurryUpPinball
@HurryUpPinball 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the heads up. I have had a few times where I ordered and they sent the wrong thing. It needs to be a 5pin rgbw. I’ll see if I can update the links.

Sorry for that. Until you mentioned it, I was unaware that the link was changed to a 4pin Rgb led strip. I have updated both videos with new info and it appears the 5pin set is no longer available but you can buy the parts individually so I linked them in the video.

Awesome tutorial! I'm going to try to make a set! One question, if i use the wifi controller, do i need to use the LOS remote sensor block that comes with the light kit? Thanks for your tutorial!
@HurryUpPinball
@HurryUpPinball 3 ай бұрын
If you use the WiFi controller, you do not need the LOS sensor. You do need to have a wireless router on a 2.4ghz network. It won’t work with 5.0ghz. I have an eero mesh router and it bounces aback and forth between 2.4 and 5.0 ghz so I hooked and older router up to the eero so I would have a set 2.4ghz router for the lights. I also use it for insider connected games.

What is the piece you are referring to for the reel that makes it spin cleaner?
@HurryUpPinball
@HurryUpPinball 3 ай бұрын
It’s the rocket city pinball airball suppression mod. It keeps the chum line plastic from drooping when the ball rolls over it. When it droops, it hits the lip on the other side of the shark fin slot and causes the ball to become airborne thus messing with the reel shot. Super easy install and a fantastic price.
@michaelperlewitz8410
@michaelperlewitz8410 3 ай бұрын

Is there a decent priced Canadian version of SUPERNIGHT LED Light Strip, Flexible 16.4ft SMD5050 DC12V 150Leds RGB LED Rope Light Strip with 44Keys IR Controller & Power for Home Indoor Decoration, Non-Waterproof RGB LED Light? $24 US or $78 Canadian Amazon. I tried to find a picture or video but seems like this is really more for play in the dark?
@HurryUpPinball
@HurryUpPinball 2 ай бұрын
Sorry for the delay in responding. I just update the parts list as Amazon was linking the 5pin rgbw light strips to the 4pin rgb strips. I linked the parts individually so you can check prices on the led strip, power supply, and line of sight remote. I highly recommend the WiFi controller in place of the LOS sensor/remote. These lights and the intensity can be dialed in so you don’t to have to worry about the brightness of the room. They can be tweaked as needed.

Well played again mate!! Quick question. I noticed with a few shots up to The upper playfield it would go to the right return ramp instead. Is there a diverter there doing that or is it because it just didn’t make it up to the playfield? There is an example at the 26.05 minute mark Hope that makes sense Thanks
@HurryUpPinball
@HurryUpPinball 3 ай бұрын
The wave ramp is a full 180 loop. If you make it 3/4 of the way but not all the way, it will drop on the wire form leading to the right flipper and you get credit for the shot. You have to pick the wave ramp clean to get on the ship.
