Omg Mariah the story about the mom who didn't give a shit about her kids. I am 29 with a 5 year old daughter and I can't believe there are parents out there like that. My husband and I do the same thing where we really try to remember situations that seem dangerous or weird. Once we witnessed a man attacking a women and took a picture and video and made a police report and it ended up being a dangerous person that has caused with multiple attacks. We were the only ones who had evidence and it was such a random thing. Its so good to be aware and stick up for people especially kids that don't have a say.

When I went over things with my kid I told him adults and children should not have secrets so no adults should be telling you not to tell the only thing that is allowed is presents or surprises for birthdays for holidays. If they threaten to keep secrets because something could happen you don’t need to worry I will handle that or find something or someone to handle it. No one should be touching you. No one goes near your private area except me for cleaning and that’s it( when he was really little). Stay close to me when we are out treat parking lots like streets because assholes will fly through them like they are. If you need to stop and look at something tell me it only takes a second for somebody to snatch you up in public when we are walking around. He isn’t allowed to cuss but I said if anyone ever tries to snatch you up in public scream “FUCK” real loud because everyone will turn and look at a child screaming that. Just some of the things I’ve made sure to go over my child.

100% call the police and tell them what you seen and have them come out and catch on the kids. With their mom not around they would have opened up more to the officers. She could have easily been charged with child abandonment and child neglect. She most likely went to buy drugs that why she seemed to be in a rush and didn't care about the kids she was going to get her next fix. A lot of times people will leave their kids somewhere while they get their drug in case it's a sting because if their kids are with them then they could get charged with child endangerment/ neglect. Police are a lot harder on people when kids are involved as they should be.
