Soooo how does this work… are there always english versions playing or are the preshow and stuff normally in french? Do you have to ask for english versions? I am going to visit for the first time this year.

The pre-show film can be English or French. Lobby is the same set up as Hollywood studios where you can go left or right for pre-show alternating with each group. Alternates between English and French. The actual ride seems to be the same every time.

Not sure it needs the addition of the girl so prominently - it was creepy enough with the hallway scene and too much 'little girl horror character' is a bit cheesy.

Done this ride for the first time this afternoon with my wife and seven year old son Sorry to say, i was disappointed. As was my son tbh. I asked him what he thought of and if it was was scary. His answers were simply, he felt light and no. Not sure if it was all the hype but i was expecting more. Next on to crush, now that was a blast.

I went to Paris Disneyland 3 days ago and it’s so different! I do think that it is for older kids, rather than the Tower of Terror ( which turned into guardians of the galaxy )at California because it’s more scarier and creeper 😭 I’ve never screamed more in my life

Yeah they took out some of the darker stuff during the last major refurb - worth watching an old ride through.

@@themedexplorerThe 1992 version was much more scarier. But pitch black. Bare see anything due to outdated lightbulb. 2019 refurbishment was necessary The Storytelling is much more clear now than before.

I loved loved Vincent Price, watched every movie he ever made. Don't know what your age is butt in the 1960s they had beach party movies with Annette funicello and Frankie Avalon and in the first one of the series which was beach party, Vincent had a small role. Cracks me up everytime I I see it

I like this interior of the house part of the ride the best compared to the other park, but I prefer the graveyard sequence of the U.S. rides as opposed to this quirky, day-glo ghosts frontier town version.

it'd be more effective if the woman at the top of the stairs towards the beginning looked more like an animatronic and less like a mannequin.

I don’t like that she’s there at all. I liked when the staircase was empty and she used to welcome you at the beginning of the ride where the suit of armor is now.

Isn't it time for Walt Disney World to update The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to A New Dimension of Chills with Sally Shine from Paris? Although, Rod Serling (voiced by Mark Silverman) should stay as he is important to the ride.

The Disney World one is such a classic though! Feel like it’s in the group with things like Pirates of the Caribbean where there’s small tweaks but never radical change.

i am from orlando and it's my opinion: WDW tower of terror NEEDS a refurb!! the drop profiles are not synced with the ride and the audio is very OFF! however, i think that they should not change the story, i'd update the drop profiles but i would NOT change rod serling, the corridor and the 5th dimension. furthermore, according to me, "a new dimension of chills" should be an halloween overlay and they should bring back the old version after halloween time.

I live in Florida so obviously I've been to Disney world in Orlando. Now I think the Peter Pan ride in Paris is a lot better than the one in Orlando . But after just watching the one in Paris I have to say that the one in Orlando is much better. There was a space there of hardly anything and then towards the end you've got a hundred things to look at. They should have spread it out a little and I miss the little lady at the very end saying come back because so so many times I said yes I will come back. But at 73 with disabilities unfortunately I will not be able to go back so the best I can do is watch the videos. And I think Walt Disney had a great imagination and every time I went there I thanked him

Glad we could give you the chance to experience it. I’ll always have a soft spot for the Orlando version. I like how different this one is to the other haunted mansions but definitely agree that opening part where there’s just darkness is weird!

We went on this first thing in the morning with our 8 year old boy, in total oblivion of the kind of ride it would be.. Well, we found out alright. Pretty scary must say, but an awesome experience. Well worth the risk to cough up your morning breakfast :)

I’ve never been on this ride before in Disneyland Paris. Does the Phantom like the bride?

There’s long back story to phantom manor that isn’t entirely clear just from the ride. The story is that the phantom is the ghost of the brides father. He didn’t approve of her marriage before he died then came back as the phantom and killed her husband. He’s supposed to be a figure of torment throughout the ride which is why he’s always doing that evil laugh!

Worse. It's her father. In the original version, the bride (Melanie Ravenwood) was in a relationship with a man her father did not approve of. Mr. Ravenwood then died in a cave in, which Melanie took as her chance to finally get married. However, her father returned as thge Phantom and killed the groom on Melanie's wedding day by hanging him in the attic.. The new version gave Melanie relationships with a few other men, that all died in tragic "accidents" orchestrated by her father. The phantom, apparantly, still killed the groom, dooming Melanie to wait for all eternity.

@@themedexplorerTo sum up and most likely Henry Ravenswood is actually the Phantom. He led all Melanie's suitors onto their demise cuz none of them were good enough for them. Even the Train Engineer hanged on the raft. Lured by the Phantom

For anyone wondering how we filmed the ride Disneyland Paris won’t let you hold a camera on a thrill ride but they are generally fine with a go-pro if it’s strapped on to you.

You wouldn’t need to hide it if it’s strapped to your chest. They just won’t let you hold a camera or phone in your hand at Disneyland Paris. Having said that different cast members seem to interpret the rules differently so always worth asking. I’ve seen them stop rides on numerous occasions because someone was holding a phone or camera.
