You have set up a great cattle handling facility for a lot less than buying store bought items. A few revisions over time will make it easier on you. Thanks for your time putting this together!

I find a pair of heavy duty end cutters are better at demolishing fences than those standard type fencing pliers we have all had. The end cutters will pull staples and cut wire without changing your grip (don’t confuse end cutters with pinchers).

I don’t hold them like that - yet they open easily- definitely no blisters - don’t abuse them by cutting hardened ss screws!

With experience you will not need the spring - been fencing 60 years - with many types of fencing pliers - Knipex is now my preferred cutters, I have all the models - the high leverage end cutters and the cutters you demonstrated are my number one pliers.

Your nitpicking is annoying as all get out, and reminds me, of, ME! As a longtime business owner, who has trained many technicians over the years, every job we did looked exactly the same. The only way you could tell who the installer was, is by noticing the handwriting. Even the ones who moved on to other lines of work have told me my infection stayed with them 😂 We aren’t OCD or anal, we do professional work. Everyone else is the outliers. 🐐

Instead of wire I use 2 bamboo barbeque secures in the virtual position by drilling through the top bar+ instead of foundation I hot glue lollypop sticks to the top of the bar, it works better than starter strips

Back in the 80’s electric fence changers came with a push in and screw 1 amp fuse or a round two prong fuse that plugged in on the underneath side of the box. I’d give double the cost of a new one to get that old one back! This video shows how to make the fuse connection similar to the old chargers, I’m ordering some today! Thank you very much

I had the same issue where the queen laid eggs, I went in and instead of larvae, there were still eggs, so I just pulled the cups with the eggs, used those, and got a dozen beautiful queens!

Getting Old Brood Comb has been impossible for me. I don't have any and I contacted 5 different Beekeepers and got a unanimous No on getting any from them. I made a tincture with an old damaged comb and propolis to coat the inside of the box with.

Frames with WAX MOTH !!!!! Burn the hole lot , do not waste your time with Deeeepfreeeese or Steeeeming them , burn the lot and start with new frames . The WAX MOTH ( WM ) do not live on the WAX they live on the old Cocoon from the Brood frames . Have you ever seen WM in Honey Combs super frames ????????? My Bee Father in South-Africa told me to restrict the entrance and use 10 mm round holes and as big that the Queen my go out for a second mating flight . J: D: W:

I still don't have bees HELLO, watching the film, the first mistake is the nicot box must be inserted into the hive 3 or 4 days before introducing the queen into the nicot box, during which time the bees will clean, disinfect the box and even build more cells, don't smoke the nicot box, I i am from Romania

I am converting cattle fence to sheep fence by using cattle panels cut in half length wise & my hot wire is 4 to 5 inches above the top of the cut cattle panel. Coyotes can't go through it & I haven't had anything jump it yet. 😅

When your queen gets trapped on the sheets it's not a fail safe way to rid SHB!! It happens a lot especially in the southern states.

I think the question of hanging money on the tree is largely moot in Australia. Every hive box legally must be indelibly marked (usually engraved) with the registered apiary number of the owner. It makes it very difficult for thieves to sell off stolen boxes - the bees inside a stolen box can be transferred to a new box and sold, but the box itself is not resaleable. So an empty box hanging up in a tree is pretty safe. Also of course we just don't have the level of poverty of the US, so there aren't as many people who would steal something like that.

Hi, are yours stored in a closed barn or is a 3 sided structure that has sunlight in the afternoons sufficient. I have lost so much comb to wax moths and the failure of the crystals so I am very motivated to fix this!

Thanks - I saw a bee removal video, where bees had took up in the back of an old toilet tank. I don't need the honeycomb, just safe polinators - as the city council keeps allowing spraying for mosquitos and this spring we started wiith fewer than 3 bees per 25x 5' of flowering clover, thyme, & none in the garden out back (no useable strawberries all season). We finally got up to higher numbers, but a day after spraying followed by a few 60° nights, and the numbers are decimated again. Price of wood being what it is, here, I'm thinking of cleaning a toilet tank out, putting some insulation around it, setting up the inside with all the accoutrements and the recommended dose of Swarm Commander. This way, they can do their thing, but when the City sets about spraying, I can cover the gardens AND the hive overnight. Whaddaya think?

Swarm commander sprayed inside the hive is a bad idea, it can be overpowering and run the bees out. You should spray outside the hive on a neighboring tree. The bees will find the scent then the box.
