50 series wire will create more soot but is made for welding marine aluminum alloys like the 5xxx series. 4043 will weld it but not as strong but is more forgiving when flexing. for that boat 4043 will work just fine. i wouldnt want it on a big bass boat or ship though

i know its a year old but anyone that is starting to mig welding aluminum needs to watch how a robot welds aluminum. aluminum is welded much hotter than steel or its alloys also. the wire coming out of the tip will sometimes come out straight and others it will go side to side. if you learn how to make fast in out circles like a robot does it not half moons like when in mig welding steel you can get a beautiful welds that will look like a robot welded it. you can also if you keep your nozzle 90 degrees to your metal and just push or drag in a straight line but you will not build any thickness and will be much weaker than if you did the fast circles. ive been welding for a long time and thats the best way to mig weld aluminum and the only better way to weld aluminum is tig welding but more tedious and looks better and isnt that much slower if you know what you are doing.

I notice that these pedals pivot from the floor. Mine pivot from the top. Is the difference based on model year, or is it LHD v's RHD (my 1972 2002 is RHD)?

Strange that your ball joints are riveted in. I'm working on a TII that's a few years older and the ball joints were bolted in. Didn't look like they were ever drilled out either.

@davidsgarage thank you so much for your video series on 2002s. I watched your bumper videos several times before replacing mine. I'm about to do the front suspension and this video is huge for prep! Any chance you have a template you could share for the piece you welded in by the engine mount? I'm going turbo on my rebuild, so prolly will benefit from doing what you did there!

I have a mini van under my garage. When we were filling the foundation before concreting i had a mini van that had been badly damaged in a crash so we cut it up and used it to reinforce the hardcore . A mate of mine has 3 mini mokes and his wife a mini pick . I've been in the moke once anything more than 30 mph is scary the driver's ok he has wheel to hang on to but the rear seat have nothing . I must admit my arse got a grip of the seat cushion

As a kid I stalled an old Oliver tractor. I must have popped the clutch just right and it started running backwards! The exhaust pipe cover shut and gases started coming out the intake. I shut it down before it could hurt itself.
