Nah, my scalp is too sensitive, and my hair is too stubborn for this. My hair is long, dirty blonde, fine, but I have a lot of strands. It just wants to lay flat. I have a cowlick that just won't stay down at the corners of my forehead and the back of my head. It's more prominent when my hair is greasy or parted more to the side. It looks like my hairline is receding and making my head shape looking square, but it's just how my hair grows. I look weird in a center part, so i put it slightly more to one side. The back two cowlicks are not as bad, but they do show up when I sleep with wet hair. By just brushing my hair, i have to hold my head, where im brushing to stop my hair from pulling at the roots. Even by being gentle and thorough, it still hurts my scalp. The best i came up with is the classic Native American braids, or just one big braid, but I'm struggling to braid my own hair. If im feeling fancy, I'll roll up the braids into a bun. .

I have a little trick i do for messy buns, i put the hair tie on lile im doing a pony tail, the last wrap you pull your hair through half way so theres some hair sticking out, if im satisfied with the way the bun part looks, i take the hairs i left sticking out and i spread them out all around the bun and BAM! you got yourself a cute messy bun
