How can there only be one small cartridge bearing in these pedals? Is there a plastic sleeve bearing on the inboard side?

There is only one bearing but it is the plastic sleeve I cannot get out. Any ideas?

@@ewansherring-lucas2588 I have never worked on these pedals. With Crank Bros. Eggbeaters, you just push out the plastic sleeve bearing from the outboard side with a metal rod that is included in rebuild kit. Once my plastic sleeve was too worn down and I was able to grab it with a dental pick tool, but be very careful not to score the inner metal surface of the pedal.

Still helpful in 2021. I rebuilt my pedals just like you showed, and they are smooth as butter now. Thanks! As of now, you can also get replacement bushings as well as the correct bearings from The Hub Doctor on eBay. And if your ATAC XS pedals are squeaking like mine were, you might not need new bearings or bushings at all. You can just try gently pulling back the rubber seal between the axle and pedal body, and add some oil. Or take it apart as you show and grease the bushings, axle, and rubber seals on both ends without replacing the bearings.

Looks like the rubber bearing seal was left out of the final assembly (isn't that it still sitting on the right side of the table?).

Very good guide video. The only thing I would suggest is if you’re ever going to hit an axle or anything with a thread. You should loosen the nut, leave it on and hit the nut so you don’t damage the threads on the axle👍🏻🔧

Is ratcheting the back box to the main cabinet necessary, when You are preparing to crate it?

What bearings did you hold up there? Can't decide what to buy: 1. RCBearing or Boca Bearings? ... I'm leaning to Boca 'yellow' bearings : www.bocabearings.com/parts/Time-Atac-Alium 2. A lot of the sites list these as "front-hub bearing" and the all look the same to me. Unsure if that's a typo or not, or perhaps the bearings fit both hub/pedal? --thanks for the video.

Seemed really nervous and kept looking at the floor two much. A lot of room to improve when it comes to sounding more fluent and being able to communicate with the audience without moving my arms so much
