Great question!! I think both are great. When you're starting out, you can be a generalist and go to networking events, or local business meetups and therefore get any client in person. But if you want to systemise your business and scale I personally would recommend niching down. This doesn't have to be an industry although that can really help!!

Just because they have one doesn't mean it working for them, or that they're not looking for a new one. 90% of my clients already have a website as well, but its either not working for them or completely outdated :)

Thats why the prompt is super important. And imagine how much better this will be in the next year where it might even look at all the social media accounts, website and news articles about a company. And then read all of them to create a personalised message. Just a matter of time ;)

Yeah 2K is too many haha. Unfortunately ChatGPT has a limit on the input. I would try 500, then if that doesn't work maybe go down to 250 and see if that is accepted. Let me know how it goes!

Because i got into web design because I love design. So for me it made sense to do web design. But remember you can still offer other monthly services as a web design business. such as SEO, ads etc.

@@patrickspiegel I tried your same method with 3.5. It was actually impossible to make it seperate the listings without websites. This would be so valuable. Maybe I'll try gpt 4. Apparently it's more accurate. Still a pretty neat trick for scraping raw data though.

The only clients who would see the price as a red flag are the clients who can't afford it. Ask what their budget is so you don't waste time trying to sell to someone who can't afford your product.

Yes and No. A lot of the times the clients who could afford it, will not see the value of a website. Thats why having a call with them is so vital to show them the value etc. But sometimes you're absolutely right

Hi Patrick, I'm curious if you uploaded the image of the entire site or just the main page. When I post the image of the whole website, it resizes and becomes blurry in the post. On the other hand, if I crop it, potential clients won't be able to see my entire website. I'm interested in how you handled this. Thank you in advance :)

There are a couple of things you can do. Either upload a video (Square or Portrait) that shows you scrolling through the website. Or you can break the design into 2 sections and have it laid out next to each other on the design post. Or of course upload two photos where the design is broken up into 2 sections. Let me know if that makes sense!
