I’m on day 3 of going through, practicing and reviewing these finger style instructions in videos 1 & 2. I’m finding this to be a very worthwhile instruction. I’m watching my skills grow exponentially! Thank you so much for these! And for not talking lol! Such a gift to an aspiring finger style guitarist. Grateful, grateful, grateful!!

This is not a criticism. This is what I hear, when you play Parker's lines, you play it pretty straight, when you play you, it opens up, almost with a little blues influence, ala Charlie Christian feel. I like what you did better, but that may be because I may have a subconscious bias for guitar, also, I'm much more of a fan of West Coast Jazz than bop, so that may make my opinion a little skewed. Anyway, I really enjoyed it, thanks for time and effort you put in to put this up on the Tube.

Excellent ideas and execution. I can play the notes but not as quickly as you - how did you speed up your playing? Using a metronome and gradually inceasing the speed? Thank you for your help.

Please watch my two Lesson here on KZfaq "How to play faster - Part 1 & 2", this will help you. You also find more material for practicing in my books "Speed Picking" and "Sweeping Arpeggios" available on my website.

At 2:50, how do you get the sliding chord sound? I love it. You make it look like your hand doesn't move.

I like the Wes octave slides with the chord melody, and the swinging chromatic lines with cool 16th note triads

Hi everybody, I'm back at work, here is my new improvisation over "On Green Dolphin Street" a 1947 popular song composed by Bronisław Kaper, since the 50s often played as a jazz standard. You hear a really nice change in the comping drum rhythm between Latin and Swing. The improvisation over the chord changes are a real challenge. I hope you like it, all the best from Germany

Hi I was wondering how to incorporate the licks from the other videos into the 2 5 1 because a lot of them seem to be too long for a single bar
