China manipulates the algorithms to control what is seen and so does America. Both sides have issues and total censorship is the wrong way to go

I love tiktok and I've learned so much on there. I've gotten so inspired and tried out new hobbies, books, recipes, cameras, etc thanks to it. I cannot believe how much better the algo is compared to reels. Reels is like being stuck watching America's funniest home videos with Bob Saget in 1996, bleck. Reels really needs to step up. Just utter trash content for the most part. But I'm also totally in favor of forcing Tiktok to leave or sell to a US company. Same thing happened with Grindr, no?

This is a hugely one sided (propaganda level) pod. Some balance would be more intellectually honest. I know ita not a political channel, but this is so weird.

What's insane is it's 1 platform... 1. There's supposed to be a free market. Even if there is more foreign influence than ideal with TikTok, it's just 1 option and it should be available for consumes to use or not use. Sure, it's doing well but you know why it's doing well? Most people who use it feel like they are able to communicate better without platform interference than the other "American Owned" platforms. That's what people find so annoying about the tiktok ban is that aside from perhaps twitter these days which is limited in it's communication by design, every other major platform feels catered, censored and overbearing in all the ways he's claiming "could" happen to tiktok. It's BS. This whole interview smells bad

I agree that we don't want media controlled by a single viewpoint, however our focus should be on Zionists control of existing media outlets.

Why did Tim Ferriss do this interview? It's a far cry from the usual self-help, life hacks & self-optimization he usually likes to cover... I listened to the entire thing and found the vibe very strange and off-putting :(

There are real-life breathing credible journalists on TikTok who talk about how they use TikTok because US media refuses to cover anything that jeopardizes their relationship with Israel. Are we supposed to believe China invented them for their grand scheme? Because they are the ones influencing me, not the “Chinese rigged algorithm”.

And if it’s the “Chinese rigged algorithm” that’s making sure to show these journalists on my feed, I say thank you for showing me what my gov is trying so hard to hide

I understand the argument vs Tik Tok. However, I still think it’s gross govt overreach and censorship

two things can be true at the same time. Tiktok is a powerful tool being used by the Chinese government to spy on and control young people in the US. At the same time, the main reason people in DC want to ban it is because they want to censor anti-israel speech.

I trust China to give more honest news than the US. I’ve seen US news sources lie right to my face. I think it’s more dangerous for people under 30 to take what the US gov is saying at face value.

I was trying a 3 month weight cutting cycle with cardio and resistance training, I have been a regular consumer of cannabis for about 15ish years, I noticed that when I started cutting it helped me to use more cannabis but my sleep was impacted, I went to sleep later and slept longer (was in bed longer at least) and woke up later. as soon as I removed the cannabis from my evenings my weight started to drop and my muscle was preserving better, I really think it screwed with my REM/recovery

my experience. After following a short TM meditation course with a qualified instructor in Bologna (Italy) I had the first meditation session with about twenty participants and others in an adjacent room with a closed door who were part of an advanced course (they jumped during the meditation). After a few minutes I suddenly felt a deep anguish, WITHOUT NAME and WITHOUT CONTENT, localized in the abdomen that rose up to the heart. My heart started beating fast without me having a conscious and logical referent for that state. After a moment I felt the symptoms of imminent fainting and almost fell out of the chair. The teacher promptly made me lie on the floor, without interrupting the session. In the end, when I recovered, the teacher commented "you have freed yourself from a lot of stress". During the internship he advised me to reduce the canonical 20 minutes to 15 minutes. I never understood what happened to me, but I continued to meditate with the same TM technique. After months I moved on to try another type of meditation described in a book by Arnold Mindell, entitled "Working alone on yourself". It is difficult to explain the effects of this meditation, I was surprised at how I guessed the events that were about to happen. I have never had sleep problems, but strangely I had dreamed about circumstances that would happen the next day. I remember a plane crashing, which happened the next day in my area, on another occasion I had dreamed that water was falling from the ceiling of my office, and the next day the fire alarm was activated, although I didn't know that it existed or how it worked. Over time I started having lucid dreams from time to time.

if it was legalized it would solve alot of issues and then it would be alot easier to focus on core problems if there are any. the trauma caused by the drug war itself is more damaging than people realise because it also confuses peoples perception of drugs.
