Way cool. I recently picked up 3 2hp Evinrudes from the 70s? and noticed my Livingston has a 3'wide cutout on the stern so I could mount 2 of them, if not all 3.

I'm about to pick one up this week. Looking for a 3 or 4 HP so my sister and younger ones can drive it without a license required in Queensland waterways. I currently have a 3.3 mercury, however I want a metal prop

Awesome motor, I have a 1969 evinrude 18hp and it just doesn’t want to run I’ve cleaned and rebuilt the carb and replaced the spark plugs but I can’t get the thing going, would you happen to know what the problem could be?
@TacDyne25 күн бұрын
Is there a way to adjust the timing? That would be my next test on an old Mopar anyway. I'm completely ignorant of how boat motors work.
@user-nz3dp3qp6f25 күн бұрын
Yes there is a a way to do that, thank you for the input I’ll definitely look into that

Are you selling it or what? I put a 15 hp carb on my 1997 9.9 Johnson. Standard upgrade.
@kyledevries4423Ай бұрын
Yes, I buy and sell them. The original 9.9 powerhead had bad crank bearings so I swapped all the 15hp parts onto it.

I have a 14ft aluminum boat built in 1979. Powered by a 1954 Johnson 25hp, with electric start. I'm glad for the electric start. I threw my back out with the pull cord when I 1st got it.

It was barely spitting any water out, you should probably change the impeller before putting it on a boat and heading out with it. Js.
