I used to play the first with my friend up the street. We loved it and eventually finished it. The first game has a great atmosphere: not spooky but kind of dreamy, I guess? It manages to capture the feeling of being a kid and going outside at night.

I love Bayleaf, Granbull, Poliwrath, Electabuzz, Slowking, Blaziken, Zangoose, Aipom, Herracross, Drowzee, Parasect, Golduck, Magcargo... there's probably more.

Like I've been there, when a friend who's usually timid has those rare moments of unapologetic rage and it's so unusual on them and often unexpected that there's just something really joyful about seeing that side of them. That said, this only really applies to me when they're mad at someone who _isn't me_ . Sure, the lighthearted "oh you're such an asshole fuck youuuu lol" stuff you get when messing with each other is all fun and good but I think you gotta be lacking in self awareness to find it fun to have a friend get like genuinely "I am sick of you treating me like this"-mad at you. Eddy only stops finding Double D's fit amusing once the other starts throwing (valid) accusations at him, so he definitely lacks some of that self awareness.

I used to know an Ed, he was a friend of mine on Discord. He was kinda stupid, pretty weird, and had a hard time counting what is 6 + 6, but he was still a relatively nice person to be around, no matter how underdeveloped his brain seemed. Ha, I've been a dragonball fan for nearly 30 years. There is exactly 1 in character Goku gag in the entire movie. Also I find it hard to believe that a Mexican male would not be a big Dragonball fan. ED: Speed Racer movie is actually a quite solid adaptation.
