Thanks for making the video. Word of advice for the rest of you, remove the bottom of the housing or else diesel fuel will Leak on you all the while as you are trying to disconnect the connector on top of the housing

Same problem. The tolerance is tight and the wif sensor o ring doesn’t want to slide in like it should and most likely got pinched. Greased the o ring and housing and it still was a problem. I have to take mine off and replace. I’ll let you know what I find. Update: So I took it apart. It was the wif sensor o ring. I did mine in the colder months. This time it went right in. Warmer out so the metal expands and makes it easier to get in. If anyone plans on doing it I would keep the filter block indoors before doing if it’s cold outside. Either that or use a hair dryer to warm the area wear the sensor goes and grease it up!

Nice install. Just picked up a 24 Sierra AT4 1500, and a local shop here in Michigan recommended this bed cover. After a couple yrs (if you still have it) would you recommend going this route?

Nice!! Yes, I do recommend this bed cover. I still have mine and it’s in great condition. I haven’t had any issues with it at all.

@@dopeboyp3487 I haven't had any issues with rain water getting in. When washing the truck it does get a very small amount of water in but not bad at all.

No, unfortunately, I ended up trying to split mine in half and it broke. I had to jb weld it back together. Not sure what GM was thinking on that one.

Nice video. First I’ve found so far. The 1 year warranty is what worries me. Also would like to see how you ran the wires. Did you also get the rocker override switch?

Thanks!! Yeah, it would have been better if the warranty was longer but these steps seem pretty durable. To run the wire harness I taped the harness to a coat hanger and ran it over the wheel well liners. It was fairly easy. It took a little bit of messing with but wasn't too bad. I did not get the override switch.

@@cesarcortez2820 I believe I had the truck for about a year after installing those handles. I know one guy that bought those handles about 2 years ago and he is on his 3rd set because he kept having issues.

Honestly, they are very similar. Although, this company closed up shop I think. Their website doesn't work any longer and they deleted all their socials.

I absolutely love this cover. I highly recommend it. It has been solid and I haven't had any issues after adjusting it. My dad has a backflip cover (not sure which one) and his is starting to come apart a little bit.

Yes, this was a Bose equipped truck but I honestly don't remember how I wired that truck. I sold that truck a few years ago. My current truck (2019 Duramax) I used a harness from lljcustoms.com. I know I used the audiocontrol line-out converter on both trucks. I feel like on my old truck I didn't use a harness and cut into the factory wiring which I wouldn't do again.
