I’ve never heard this song before, and even though I am 24, going on 25 years old, in a falling apart world of sin- I had always loved the hymns that we treasured in our old lil white church, out in the middle of nowhere, by the pastures and the creeks. This is a new one that I will treasure, and the only one I could find truly close to the one in our lil red hymn books. I was amazed to find a hymn book as a memoir of the old gospel songs of my childhood, and this was one that thanks to you, I have heard this one for the first time ❤ Thank you!

I'm sad to learn that this is probably from Martha's husband's funeral, but grateful that the family is so together and godly! And Martha, she gave her husband (?) and us a beautiful gift in song! Weirdest thing, this song "popped" into my mind and heart while I was grabbing coffee and praying in my mind. Hadn't heard or thought of it in 35 years or more!
